Overall good stay, would return due to good location

    rating17 Mar 2026

Location is in the old town, airport bus A1 and A2 stop is a 10 minutes walk walk away and 29 minutes to the airport. Plenty of things to do and see, lots of places to eat, markets and shops. Marina is close by. Hotel clean and comfortable though the double bed feels really small and wish it was bigger. No issues with noice, staff were helpful and friendly, check in quick and seamless. Bathroom and room very clean, rain fall shower hot.Breakfast primarily continental but lots of choice including ham, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, bread, toast, jam, honey and lots of pastries. There was a small hot choice of scrambled eggs and bacon.Positives - location & cleanlinessWhat could be better - size of the bed and heat of the coffee at breakfast (was only just warm)Would stay again if returned to Barcelona.

Fantastic location and fun room. Not that big but has everything you need for a touristy city break.

Room and location was great but the air conditioning would only pump hot air into the room. We raised it during the stay but told it was intentional because the heating was controlled centrally, but on check-out they were very apologetic and said it was malfunctioning. Definitely frustrating but not a deal breaker as we could open the windows.

Fabulous old hotel turned into brand new condition

    rating01 Dec 2025

Just home from a fabulous stay, a truly stunning and fresh hotel, marble tiles and modern soft lighting, brand new bath/shower room. Has wow factor and fab decor. I thought it was great value compared to any other hotel price in the vicinity. Perfect spot and completely safe, excellent breakfast nearby and bars etc. 10/10

    Fabulous time location in Barcelona

    rating13 Nov 2025

We stayed a three nights in this lovely hotel, in a very central location, the old part of Barcelona, or the beach is only a few minutes away by foot. Our original room was upgraded and we were therefore enjoying a separate room. We much appreciated the comfortable bed and large and modern bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we got great tips for a show we wanted to see. Breakfast buffet was great and tasty.

Completely renovated! Ignore the old reviews!

    rating04 Oct 2025

This hotel has had a complete makeover, so ignore the bad reviews. It has been renovated from top to bottom. The location is excellent. All of the tourist attractions are within close proximity, most of them within walking distance. The reception staff are friendly and courteous. Check-in was seamless, and they allowed us to check in at 1pm, two hours earlier than their 3pm check-in time. Our room was on the smaller side, but this is normal for European cities. It is modern and tastefully decorated. The shower had great water pressure with ample hot water, except for one morning when it was warm, but not hot. I suspect that a lot of guests showered early that morning, draining the hot water tank. It wasn’t a big deal. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but I have slept in much worse. There could be some hooks installed in the washroom for hanging things but, again, no big deal. I wasn’t a fan of the electronic door system for the rooms, where the door opens and closes with a pass of your room card. It opened and closed very slowly, and there wasn’t a deadbolt lock or anything to stop room attendants, etc. from entering if you were still sleeping. Also, it doesn’t feel like a secure system, in the event that you had to close your door quickly behind you. There is a delay in your door closing after leaving your room. Not a good feature at all. Breakfast was good, but repetitive. It is the same everyday, so it lost its appeal quickly. A waffle maker, fried eggs, hashbrowns, etc. would be great additions to mix up the breakfast menu a bit. Ana, a lovely server in the breakfast restaurant, is a real gem. She engaged in conversation with us every morning, as she is learning English, and I am learning Spanish. Our room had a view of the Roman ruins, and it could be quite noisy at night, but this is no fault of the hotel. Check-out was smooth as well. We would definitely return.
