Location

The hotel is located right in the centre of Barcelona between Passeig de Gràcia and Rambla de Catalunya. Its great location makes it possible to get to Plaça Catalunya, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and Las Ramblas in 10 minutes on foot. Guests can surround themselves with modernist architecture such as Gaudi's La Pedrera and the Casa Batlló. In addition, the hotel is located in the best entertainment area and is surrounded by Barcelona's most elegant stores. The nearest links to the public transport network are a mere 100 m from the door. It is some 2 km to the beach of Port Olímpic and Barcelona Airport is approximately 20 km away.

Facility

109 non-smoking rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Sorry to say we were disappointed, having stayed in many Curio’s we felt this missed the mark. For the price paid it was not good value. It seemed more of an up market Hampton by Hilton and lacked any atmosphere. The pool area was dirty and untidy and the water seemed very cloudy. Breakfast staff were sullen and unfriendly.     Overall a very solid Hotel

    We recently stayed at the Hotel Alexandra Barcelona and overall had a pleasant experience, but there were a few things worth noting.The hotel is in a great location and the breakfast each morning was very good with a solid variety of options and quality food. The staff was generally professional and helpful throughout our stay.That said, as Hilton Diamond members, we were a bit disappointed that Diamond status did not seem as valued here compared to other hotels we have stayed at across Europe. The recognition and benefits felt fairly minimal, especially relative to other European properties that tend to go out of their way to acknowledge loyal guests.The king rooms were also on the smaller side, which is understandable given the central Barcelona location, but they felt very dark due to limited lighting and the overall room design. It made the room feel more closed in than expected.Overall, still a good stay thanks to the location and breakfast, but there are definitely areas where the guest experience could feel more elevated, especially for elite status travelers.     Perfect Spot with Impeccable Service

    We had a quick stay in Barcelona after finishing a Mediterranean cruise. Hotel Alexandra was the perfect spot for us. We arrived very early and they graciously stored our bags while we strolled town and did a tour. The person at the front desk provided a map and detailed instructions for sights close to the hotel. When we returned our bags had already been delivered to our room. The room itself was very comfortable with a nice desk where I was able to catch up on some email. The hotel includes a cozy bar and a nice restaurant. We stopped at the bar both before and after an evening tour. Breakfast this morning was a beautiful and impressive spread. The biggest constant throughout our stay was the impeccable service! Every single person we encountered was friendly and attentive.
