  It has a great location, making it easy to get around the city. The hotel is spotless, well organized, and very secure with a vigilant security staff.The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and the staff were absolutely kind, friendly, and always ready to help...   Decent Stay at ONOMO Hotel Dar es Salaam, But Needs Improvement

  ONOMO Hotel is a 4-star hotel with reasonable prices. The rooms are average in terms of comfort, but the breakfast is varied and enjoyable. Its location is convenient, away from the city’s heavy traffic, and about 40 minutes from Julius Nyerere International Airport.However, there are several downsides. The swimming pool is very small. During both check-in and check-out, the staff took an unusually long time despite having all the required details available.Basic amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, or even slippers were not provided in the room — you need to call and request them. Staff in general are quite slow in responding to guests' needs. For example, my luggage was brought to the room 30 minutes after I checked in, and only after I made several calls.On the positive side, they do offer late check-out, which is a nice option.

  A possible scam with the safes in the rooms

  I have to issue a warning, they have a serious problem with the safes in the rooms. I will give them the benefit of a doubt, as you see. In my room the safe wasn't working, acting strange. So I went to reception to find help. A guy accompanied me and confirmed. But since the handyman for the safes was not on duty for another two days they told me to pack up my things to switch rooms. I had already ironed my meeting clothes but agreed and packed. The guy took me to TWO other rooms on a different floor that were unoccupied, but those safes weren't working either! That's three in total. One of the safes would accept some very limited number of combinations... Now, people, what do you think? Them making you waver responsibility because you use the safe for valuables? I dunno. Also, the chair was broken, and there was only one towel in the bathroom (hard to wash your hair, and shower at the same time) but those are minor things in comparison. We’ve already escalated this matter to our maintenance team and are actively inspecting and addressing the issues with all in-room safes to ensure reliability and security for all future guests.We also appreciate you pointing out the other details like the broken chair. While they may seem minor in isolation, they still impact your overall comfort and should not have been overlooked.Please feel free to order extra towels, due to our "save water initiative" we only keep one bath towel per person in the room.Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re using it to improve our service and facilities.   The food was truly amazing. Coming back home and tasting the food here, I just wanted to go back to the hotel and have the delicious meals prepared by the chef.
