This city hotel is located on the Gran Vía de las Corts Catalanas and the Calle San Fructuoso, which is parallel to the main avenue (and represents the dividing-line between a completely urban environment and the spurs of the Montjuïc hill). Just a few minutes away from the Plaza de España, it is very close to the Eixample. The surrounding area is a hive of activity, including business locations, the Barcelona Trade Fair, industrial and commercial companies, hotels, restaurants and governmental administration. Barcelona International Airport lies some 10 km from the hotel.

Facility

60 studios are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine.     Room 107 We requested a bed for 2 we got 2 beds. They didn’t try to give us larger sheets to accommodate our needs. Internet not working. Room smelled like bleach (strong smell) when we moved in. Shower head support not staying in place. Shower head falling on your head while taking shower. Shower has mildew around glass. Bathroom light way to bright as next to bedroom. Very noisy bathroom fan. Kitchen cabinet doors do not close properly and are water damaged. No shelves in the bathroom to drop your stuff. Etc. Very very expensive for what you get. Very expensive.

    This hotel overall was ok, it has some pros and also some cons. Pros - we arrived quite early due to our flight (3 hours early) and the man on reception was very helpful and checked us in early, allowing us access to our room which was very much appreciated after a morning of travelling. Every time we passed reception we were always greeted by the staff on the desk which was welcoming. The hotel itself has a modern feel to it and it is very close to the bus stops that connect you to the city (or around 12 mins walk to the nearest metro). Cons - the rooms are very noisy, you can hear everything and unfortunately we were woken every morning before 7am by families passing through the corridors (if you are at the end of the corridor this may not be a problem, we where at the front so everyone passed us). The shower room was a problem for us. Every time we showered it let off an awful smell and the shower didn’t stay in a useable position, you either had to have it pointing to the floor or up straight which then soaked the bathroom. We ended up with a soaked bathroom, which soaked our clothes that were in there which then took 2 days to dry. Overall an ok stay. For the price, you get what you pay for and I wouldn’t put anyone off staying here. If we didn’t have shower problems it would have been a very good stay.

    CUIDADO do not book here! Cancelled reservation less than 24 hours before. Very difficult to communicate with. Called and confirmed my booking the day prior and previously when I booked. Found a better and cheaper stay elsewhere, cannot recommend.

    We have just arrived home after a wonderful trip to Barcelona! We stayed at the BCN Montjuic as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 9 & 7) we had a family room. After arriving at the airport we took a taxi to the hotel (around 24 euros) and arrived to a very warm welcome from the reception team, check in was efficient and we went to our lovely family room, the room itself has everything you need and it’s extremely clean. We had a sofa bed for the two children and two single beds together for the adults, the beds were very comfortable with crisp white bedsheets and comfortable pillows, there was a small kitchen area with a fridge and a very modern and clean bathroom with fluffy white towels. The air conditioning was also very efficient, the only downside (which was my mistake) is I wished I had booked a balcony. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, served in the lovely breakfast room, plenty of fresh options, always topped up and a different variety each day, the breakfast staff worked very hard and were lovely and friendly. The hotel also had a rooftop pool and a outside area with seating but we found this was closed early (around 10pm each night) the only downside for the hotel for us is there was no bar, so after a long day exploring the city there was no where to get a cold drink. The hotel itself is a 10 minute walk to the local metro and you can pick up the hop on hop off tour bus again a 10 minute walk from the hotel (which I thoroughly recommend) we decided on the way back to the airport to take the underground and we wished we had just taken a taxi as it’s quite a way on the underground and costs just as much and a taxi would of been easier.     Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We were in a family apartment, was spotless, lovely clean smell. Double bed in one room, single in another, double sofa bed in another. Comfortable beds, a bit noisy outside at times. Kitchen area with dining table, microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer. Breakfast available but we used Tahoma bakery in the corner just a minute away. Also Condis supermarket close by. Great location near Placa de Espanya where you can get metro, hop on hop off buses stop close by, airport bus stops on main road to. All about 5/10 min walk away. Would definitely return.
