Location

These apartments are located in the heart of Barcelona next to the famous Ramblas and just 50 m from Liceo metro station. The location is second to none for travelling all around the city and visiting the main tourist areas. The Gothic quarter, Plaza Catalunya, Paseo de Gracia, Liceu Opera Theatre and Museo Magba are all within walking distance. Barceloneta beach is about 1 km away, as are shopping venues such as the Corte Ingles. It is 2 km to the Estacion de Francia bus station, 2.5 km to Sants railway station and Barcelona Airport is 15 km away.

Facility

The apartment hotel welcomes guests in a 3-storey building with a lift and 9 studios. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. The hotel provides a baggage storage service, a safe, medical assistance, a theatre hall and a coin-operated laundry. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     This is one of the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We booked for 4 nights and it was nothing like the description. The room was a good size however, the bed was the best feature as the furnishing are dated/ broken and dirty. The armchair was so soiled it needed a deep clean or replacement. The sink was in the room instead of the bathroom which was odd. The air conditioning system hummed terribly and prevented us from sleeping so we turned it off for the remainder of our nights there. Breakfast was awful!! nothing but omelette minus the egg whites which I think they used for the waffle mixture, bread, bagels, sugar coated cereals which are so unhealthy. There was no fruit or yoghurts etc. Luke warm coffee and no drinking water available either at mealtimes or in the rooms, on the first night stay I was so thirsty and had to wait until the morning. At breakfast time my husband spoke to a management member who was the only staff present that we saw during our entire stay apart from the housekeeping staff. He told us that water is available at the reception area for a dollar per small bottle . My husband purchased 2 bottles and later whilst we were out we purchased some more water from the gas station adjacent to the hotel. I have never heard hotels selling water to guest as this is standard and usually provided daily in the rooms, eating areas and foyers. We had to request clean towels after the 3 day and had difficulty explaining to the house keeping staff as their understanding of English was very poor so we had to go down to reception. A deposit was taken which they said was in case any damages occurred in the rooms which was a joke as the room was not satisfactory to begin with. My husband did request a replacement room when the same staff member came to look at the air conditioning system as we complained about the loud humming. However, we decided to keep the room we had as it was only a short stay thank goodness.

    Was here for a work trip stayed for two nights. When I first walked in the door it smelt like kitty litter. I had to leave the window open the whole time I was, there. There was hair still left in the shower. There was no towels. And staff looks very overwhelmed.

    Room smelled like urine. Lacked overall cleanliness. Check in process cumbersome. No amenities as in NONE. Not even water to purchase. Grounds are littered. Truly shocked. We Will never stay here again. General Manager, General Manager at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Ventura, responded to this review I appreciate your feedback. This is definitely not the experience we want you to have when staying with us! Your feedback will help us improve our operation.I am extremely sorry to hear that several things were not up to your expectations.     Staff isn’t very helpful snd the rooms are goin down hill but still clean enough for me to stay heat and wifi work great but having to deal with the customer service oh wait there is none so good luck it’s not that bad General Manager, General Manager at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Ventura, responded to this review I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience at La Quinta Ventura.     Pillows like rocks, dogs howling at night, staff more interested in laughng and joking with each other while the customer waits to be helped. Breakfast food is a joke, waffles but no syrup or butter and told to use jam. Why would you offer waffles but no syrup and butter.
