  Bad Barcelona Hostel

  Very bad client attention as they don't reply their phone or mails. Our room was extremely little I would say it is illegal to have 6 people in that space specially in covid times. Not good air conditioner. The kitchen have nothing; we pretty much fight for cutlery and plates. Metro is close but far from city centre. People who come is not the best as we had some bad experiences like someone stealing our food. It was too expensive for what it is.

  I feel bad rating it low but I can't in good conscience rate it higher. The staff seems friendly enough but they were really only involved with reception styled work not interacting with guests. The room was clean so that's a perk and It is decently priced but do yourself a favor and pay more to stay elsewhere. That's about all I can say positive about this place. If you do stay book a private room as they don't have an age cap and some of those loitering about made me feel uncomfortable and I wouldn't have felt safe leaving my things in a dorm room. The showers are a weird set up and you constantly have to push a button to keep the water flowing was not a fan. It says that they are "15 minutes from Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas and Sagrada Familia by metro." But it is, in fact, double to Las Ramblas and 30 minutes to Plaza Catalunya and while they have free walking tours but they are from another location that's 35 min away. There are Kids everywhere and since there are families that seem to have been there for an extended time the kitchen was virtually useless because there always seemed to be someone cooking a family meal and taking up all the space. The "Common area" was constantly occupied by a couple of rather creepy older men that would just stare in a way that made me not leave the room while I was there. As for the other common areas, this is a blatant lie and false advertising they have signs up for it but it's non-exsistant. They try to portray a backpacker vibe online but this just isn't the case, maybe it once was but it has devolved. Also around an hour on public transport from the airport. All in all was not satisfied with my stay and if I hadn't been feeling sick during this time I would have took the effort to book elsewhere.

  Very clean room, comfortable and secure. Only stayed 1 night but good value for money. About a 18 minute drive to barceloneta Beach and centre . However, about 15 minute walk to local beach, playa coco which is also very very nice, just less tourists. Metro across the road, only raked about 40 minutes to city centre and a bit more to the beach barceloneta.More convenient if you have a car

  Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and informative, very helpful. There is supermarkets close by and a few little restaurants and cafes all in walking distance. 10 min walk to Badalona beach which is really nice too!Room was nice and spacious, air conditioned and decent sized bathroom. Bit of a way out of Barcelona but public transport is very cheap, (you can buy 10 tickets for (€10,20) and you can get on the underground railway (stop just down the road from hostel) and it can get you all the way into Sagrada Familia. Would definitely stay here again.

  The hostel has Family's and children living there and the kids run riot screaming and shouting. The chill out area is ONLY the diner room outside the kitchen and with the kids and family's you can't chill or relax. The other chill out room doesn't exist. The staff even laughed a little when I asked for the chill out area, they said it haven't been there for years.... But the signs are still on the walls.Kitchen is often taken by bigger families cooking meals. when we asked about the free Walking tours that they say they have, they didn't know anything about it, even though it was on the wall in the hostel. The energy is not so good there. It's basically the worst hostel for that kind of money and absolutely because of the mislead in the description. The beds where awful so uncomfortable we both got a bad back and We can normally sleep anywhere. the description of he hostel talks about being new but it's run down and has broken aircons. we only stayed there because it was full in most places for mixed.Big plus is the calm nice beach close to the hostel. Many supermarkets, nice food places in the area. But for real, you can reach a beach and a place to eat from anywhere with the metro.It was clean every morning in the toilets.It was good the metro was close.Unfortunately the staff don't inform you bout anything when you check in and when we asked for something they didn't know much.When we left this morning the staff were rude to us because we asked to go in to the kitchen to grab our boiled eggs from the fridge.There was this nice young guy working there who gave us an extra pillow ;) but the hostel was NOT at all the way they make it sound like!!Go somewhere else and Pay 2-4 Euro more in any place get an amazing stay in BCN over and all.
