    Management Nonexistent: Save money at your own peril!

    Please listen to all of the other negative reviews regarding this hotel. Here's why: if you run into issues management will not listen to your complaints and you will be out of luck. I had to immediately book another hotel since the advertised room was completely different from the one that I booked. There was no room at all for two of us as a coupe in the double room.I immediately checkout and the hotel management refused to respond to my emails complaining. Thus, the only option I have is to file a chargeback which is a pain in the ass in terms of both time and process. Save yourself the headache of dealing with all of these issues by booking another place even if it's more expensive!Yes, the location is good! But there are no other redeeming factors. The reception was quite condescending when I asked about the false advertisement and tried justifying it without providing a solution. If you unfortunately have found yourself in a similar situation, please do the following: 1) Ask for a hoja de reclamaciones: they are legally required to provide this2) If they fail to provide this call the local police to file a report about this failure to follow consumer laws3) File a report to the local offices regarding this situation with the local consumer offices: a) omic@bcn.cat b) aula.consum@gencat.catTo management, you should be ashamed for such horrendous business practices.

    A great hostel in a great location

    We booked the hostel based on reviews and we're not disappointed. The 3 bed room we chose was on the fifth floor do we had an amazing view of the boulevard from the room window.The hotel s major s advantage is it's location in down town, close to bus and Metro. the Ramblas are just Metro stops from the hotel. And plaza Catsluna with its finest boutiques and restaurants is 10 minutes walkThe room was spacious;the beds comfy and the shower hot.A cleaning lady comes every morning with a change of towels.Highly recommended

    A complete lack of flexibility and human understanding

    I had booked with confidence, but when my flight was cancelled due to bad weather, I contacted them hoping for a reasonable solution - a partial refund or even a voucher to rebook later - but there was absolutely no willingness to help.I understand that policies exist for a reason, but what was completely missing here was humanity. No gesture of understanding, no attempt to find a compromise.At a time when empathy and customer care should be key values in hospitality, this kind of rigid and impersonal attitude is simply unacceptable.I would not recommend this property to anyone expecting professionalism combined with a basic sense of compassion and fairness.

    A smell of sewer

    It was very horrible!!!! There where a stank of sewer every day at my room at toilet. And the smell was rally bad, so it was difficult to sleep and I just had to stay outside in town because it was so horrible to stay at my room😞😞 I Can not recommend!

    What a disappointment! The apartment we had was located in a separate dark and dingy building away from the main building g which has all the amenities. The “apartment” was even darker and more depressing. Our toilet barely worked and after two visits from the maintenance guy we were told “ you just have to give it time to recharge.” After waiting an hour for a recharge, no flush. We could not wait to get out of Casa Garbagia. On the plus side, the location was good. Don’t expect anyone to go out of their way to help you at this place.
