  A lovely and affordable stay

  I like this hotel! It’s quirky and no-frills, but it’s clean and it’s well run, the price is right, the staff are simply terrific, and the rooftop deck (with a little bar and snacks shack and a tiny plunge pool) was a great place to socialize with other guests. The location is simply fantastic.   We spent three nights at the hotel with the half board option. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable, which made our stay relaxing.Breakfast was varied and served as a buffet, with plenty of options to choose from. Dinner was tasty and ordered from a menu, although the menu was the same every day.The staff were friendly, smiling, and very helpful, which created a pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. The hotel is also an ideal base for sightseeing.There is a beautiful rooftop terrace with a small pool, which looks great. However, in March the pool was not open.Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel.   6 of us stayed with you for 2 nights ( September 11th) to celebrate a 60th birthday..2 of us travelled from the UK & 4 from NZ..All expectations were met in terms of a 3* class hotel, with a consistent highlight being the friendly & warm service afforded to us all, with Viktor being your standout employee 😊👍...The service from your restaurant staff was also 👍👍, especially on the morning of Jax's birthday 🎉🎂..All in all a pleasant stay..NB: it is worth noting that the rooftop pool is as described, a plunge pool & there is adequate seating in the bar area.I would agree with another contributor that beverage ☕ facilities in the room would be a+, however, there is 🍵 &☕ making facilities in the foyer..Would we stay again? possibly.Will I recommend, yes!   My sister and I had a horrible experience in the Casa Lit Barcelona. Unacceptable rooms with cockroaches, mold smell and damptness. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we found four cockroaches within a span of just 30 minutes. After referring to the reception, we were offered the rooms as a replacement that was clearly inadequate for two guests. After checking Booking.com, we saw that other double rooms were listed as available even if the receptionist was telling us the opposite. Furthermore, another receptionist the following morning confirmed that there were other rooms in the hotel. This discrepancy leads us to believe the night receptionist intentionally offered us a single room instead of resolving the issue appropriately.When we asked about a refund or compensation for the inconvenience, the morning receptionist claimed she couldn't assist us since the booking was made through Expedia, and we should contact them directly. - this was also a lie as she didnt want to support us or escalate the matterVery dissapointed with the hotel and overpriced stays that it offers. Doesn't worth it at all. Upon reporting the issue, you were immediately offered an alternative room while a thorough cleaning was carried out in your original one. Both of you agreed that the temporary room was suitable for one night. The following day, you returned to your properly cleaned room without raising any further concerns. Regarding the supposed availability of other rooms, we can assure you the hotel was fully booked at that time. We do not understand where the idea of additional rooms being available comes from, nor why you assume we denied access to options that simply did not exist. At all times, a solution was provided and you appeared satisfied with the arrangements. Therefore, the tone and content of this review come as a surprise.   This review is for the staff who helped us, Scarlet & Greidys., during our breakfasts. Although our biggest issue was the AC in the bedroom was not cooling the room especially when it’s hot outside or even in the evenings. So we looked forward to breakfast as we are always greeted with a smile by Scarlet & Greidys. They always make sure we were okay. G5 stars for the service and that includes the ladies on the Front Desk. We will be back for sure.
