    Money stolen in the room!

    1000 euros were stolen from my backpack during my stay at room 504. Hotel management just keeps ignoring me in booking.com chat since checking out. Insects in the bathroom and broken bath plug, not accessible roof terrace and pool are so minor comparing to that. Hotel Albeniz, Other at Catalonia Albeniz, responded to this review Dear ilyab647,As you know, we have responded to all your messages through Booking.com.We will not tolerate false accusations. We urge you to take the appropriate legal action. We regret that you do not know where you lost or had your money stolen, but we assure you it was not at our hotel.     Pleasant hotel stay

    We stayed 4 nights in the hotel. We stayed on the second floor and window was facing to the street. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro station, as well as cafes, bars and restaurants. Some touristic spots are found in the walking distance even the beach can be reached by walking 40 mins from the hotel.The hotel staff/reception team members were kind and helpful. The room was cleaned daily.We thoroughly enjoyed with our stay in the hotel.     Great facilities and friendly staff

    We stayed here for a week and found the facilities clean and the staff friendly. The rooftop pool and lounge area is quite small: approximately 7 loungers, with space for 6 or so people in the pool (but do not expect to swim - it's more for cooling off). It's very close to shops and to the metro and buses into town. We would definitely recommend it for those looking to see the city.     Do not book this place at all. We stayed here for 3 nights in a double room. Firstly the aircon makes a loud noise when you turn it on, the ducts are full of dust and when turned on circulates dust around the room which triggered our allergies. The wall mount tv in the room is so silly as its in a corner where only 1 person (right side of the bed) can watch it. The bed and pillows are sooo terrible and hard you will not be able to sleep. They do not provide a duvet at all but do give a very old (dusty) blanket which is kept in a plastic bag in the wardrobe. Finally when you open the window for some fresh air you will find ugly view of huge rubbish bins on the streets. This place needs a full makeover and does not look like the photos!     Moved our reservation to another hotel

    We do not recommend. After arriving at the hotel (close to midnight, in a not so nice neighbourhood), we were told that they could not accommodate us and that they had moved our reservation to the hotel next door. Same stars, but much cheaper for our chosen dates and less amenities. No reward nor upgrade given for our inconveniences.We were not informed of this via any means. The manager was nowhere to be seen. Even in the hotel next door, they could not believe that they had not even bothered to contact us (we are even members of Catalonia Rewards). They did not even bother to offer us an upgrade.Please do yourself a favour and book your stay somewhere else. This hotel and their service is not worth your money nor time.
