Location

This hotel is located in the arty and commercial centre of Barcelona, only a stone's throw from Paseo de Gracia as well as the numerous attractions in the centre (such as the Sagrada Familia). 2 suites, 1 single room and 77 double rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Excellent location. Corporate, grubby feel to the place. Staff were not really engaged and often difficult to find. Bar staff at pool side were inadequately prepared. Despite travelling with a four star tour group, we were given ROOM 106. To be avoided at all costs. Tiny and claustrophobic with windows covered in non-see-through plastic film.     Brief Awkward Stay

    We spent a brief 15 hours in this hotel after flying in before a cruise. We were greeted warmly at check-in to this ~80-room city hotel. But when we got to our assigned room we found someone already staying there. Back to the front desk for room reassignment, where staff seemed more concerned with the guests already in the room than us. Our reassigned room was simple, but clean and comfortable and we crashed for the night. The next morning we went down for the attractive looking breakfast, but were told by the hostess that it was NOT included in our hotel rate. I spoke with the front desk again and explained that on booking the room it clearly said "Breakfast Included". The hotel insisted that although that may have been the case, our booking agency (Celebrity Cruises/Agoda) booked a room class for us that did NOT include breakfast.     Great location. Accessible and great breakfast. The staff is attentive and helpful. They helped us with all our requests.     Strongly advice not to stay at this “hotel”

    Strongly advise not to stay here. My clothing gone missing, hotel offered no compensation after my complaints. Hairs on bed, after changed 3 rooms, still hair on beds, unhygienic and non functional facilities with bath drainage problems in both rooms. Fuse jumped twice on one night. We reported all these issues but nothing changed or offered to us as solutions. Below standard for what it claimed to be a 4 star hotel.     Myself husband and son stayed here for the weekend and found the hotel to be good value for money it's in an excellent location for everything we stayed in room 110 there was a mini bar in the room at an extra cost if you ate or drank any of the items whilst we found the room to be small (I think most are in barcelona) it was a little grubby in places ill attach a pic, although it would not stop me rebooking this hotel I would just ask for a different room due to the noise of passers by late at night after their night out we did not eat in the hotel as the breakfast wasn't appealing to us but literally a 1 minute walk to the left of the hotel there is a bakery called 365 the food here is so reasonably priced and very tasty 3 of us ate breakfast sandwiches with a croissant and drinks for 18 euro the same price as 1 breakfast in the hotel and it opens super early we had breakfast shortly after 8am both days join the catalonia rewards when booking as the staff kindly gifted us a free bottle of water both days and a free glass of cava on arrival we didn't get to use the pool as we didn't realise when booking it was closed for refurbishment staff are lovely hotel is clean if your looking for fancy rooms, a nice bar or a lively atmosphere maybe this isn't your hotel but for us it met our needs as we spent very little time in the hotel and ate and drank else where overall we had a brilliant weekend and will return to the catalonia gracia based on the price and location lapedrera lapedrera, Guest Services / Front Office at Catalonia Gracia, responded to this review Apreciada/o terris454,Agradecemos su tiempo comentando su estancia.
