    Nice hotel shame about the view

    Can’t fault the location and staff or actual hotel comfort but they need to put on their website about the ongoing works happening at the front of the hotel we booked in with a view over the main road, but we’re unable to see this as there is hoarding over the front of the hotel and you cannot access the balcony secondly my wife likes swimming so we booked the hotel because it had a pool. What they don’t tell you is the pool is not in use over the winter period it would have been nice to have been told this prior to booking we would have chosen somewhere else David Coral, at Hotel Catalonia Passeig de Gracia, responded to this review Dear GuestWe are very sorry that you had this experience; We completely understand your frustration.     The whole experience of staying is this hotel was 5 star from start to finish. The staff are exceptional, we had a room with its own terrace, the hotel is super clean, the location is perfect and we can’t wait to return. The breakfast is superb and well worth paying for.     Stayed in this hotel for the first time on a business trip, I usually stay elsewhere in Barcelona City.I’ll definitely stay again, the hotel was lovely - nice spacious room and bathroom.
