  We can honestly say that our stay here for a week was a pleasant experience. The accommodation was exactly what we expected from the advert and was ideal for myself and my partner. Sylvia and the staff were always friendly and very helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and were also given advice on tourist attractions and modes of transport in the city. The position of the place is excellent in a good upmarket area, very central and close to everything. We would definitely be staying here again when we return to Barcelona. All in all, this place offers extremely good value for one's travel budget. Thank you for adding to a great first time experience in your beautiful city.

  The only good thing I can say about this place is that the location is excellent. It is not at all as it appears on the website. Our first room, a "triple," was like a cell with a window on a small air shaft with no natural light entering the room. The bathroom was in terrible shape. There were no amenities. Not a box of tissues or a cup, just shampoo and cheap tiny soaps. The towels were air dried and felt like sandpaper, and one was stolen from the Renfe train system. They did move us after two nights to a "superior" room which had a window out to the street and a nicer bathroom, which was somewhat better, but still nowhere near worth the money. If this had been like $100/night at most for the location, that would be okay, but it was over $250/night. Insane!

  Great restaurant

  Ate in the restaurant twice during a visit to Barcelona and on both times service was superb and the food was delicious, once after a trip to camp nou we were looking for somewhere to eat at about 2230 at night no problem, great tapas, superb wine Rioja what else and wonderful service, second time we went with friends same experience, nothing too much trouble for them, tapas were great. Muchas gracias amigos.

  No refund despite the impossibility to fly

  I was not able to make it to Barcelona due to issues with the flight outside of my control. The hotel refused to issue a refund for the booking, even though it was not going to be used and I informed them early in the morning explaining the unfortunate situation. Other local attractions were very kind to offer me a full refund for the unused tickets, but not this accommodation.My booking was non-refundable at that point, so legally they have the right to not offer a refund, but in the light of the exceptional situation I had to face, I expected some more consideration from their side.So be aware that you won't be able to count on them if some unexpected issue outside of your control makes you unable to get to Barcelona. For my rescheduled trip and any other future trips to Barcelona I will definitely avoid this accommodation entirely.

  be aware of nonref rates and rude mgmt

  I have not been to the hotel. I made a reservation with nonrefundable fare. via hotel consolidator go global. We called 3 hours after booking and tried to cancel the reservation. The hotel was not given any answer within 5 days. But canceled the hotel immediately. and took the full amount of the 4 nights over 1000 EUR. and refused to return the money or the room to me. They even resold the room to someone else. Almost nobody there speaks English. The only lady that does so, is very rude, and very patronizing. My letter to the manager was not even answerd. I guess there is a reason why it is cheap hostel in the Ramblas area. My advise to you, Be aware of them. In the other hand, you mention a cheap hostel, but we are not a hostel, nor the relation of a reservation of 1000 euros for 4 nights is maintained ... with what I understand that either you have made the wrong establishment, or the non-refund of your room / reservation if it was with us, would have justified causes; As you say, it was a Non-Refundable Reservation. In any case, we do not have any reservation with the name it appears with. We are sorry that we cannot help you.In general, it is very easy to criticize and threaten on the net, and unfortunately our sector has always been the pioneer in this.In any case, we hope that you and your family are well, and not affected by Covid.
