Location

The hotel occupies a prime location in Paseo de Gracia, in the heart of Modernist Barcelona and facing the famous Gaudi's building La Pedrera. Other tourist attractions are not much more than 1 km away: The Plaza de Cataluña, The Rambla, the Picasso Museum and the cathedral. The hotel is located in the best cultural and commercial area, next to the governmental and business district. A tube and train station are only 100 m from the hotel. Barcelona's international airport is 19 km away.

Facility

6 junior suites, 3 suites, 10 single rooms and 235 double rooms are available to guests in a 5-storey main building and an auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Some rooms have a balcony, which gives guests additional space for rest and relaxation. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge). A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

On hot days, guests can take a refreshing dip in one of the 2 outdoor pools, and an indoor pool ensures that swimming is always an option, even if the weather is not quite cooperating.     Great location, wonderful staff, recommend!

    We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We came from the United States and spent 3 nights before leaving on our cruise. Our room(s) was very nice and was also well appointed. A nice size safe, drawer refrigerator and wash cloths were not expected but very much appreciated! Our view of Passeig de Gracia was a nice surprise, and our location to shopping, restaurants, transportation, etc. could not have been better. Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was good. Everything you would expect at European breakfast buffet as well as eggs made to order. Try the eggs Benedict. The best kept secret, however?! The real luxury here is the staff. Our first experience was a perfect example. After 2 flights and just under 24 hours total travel time, our cab pulled up on the street in front of the hotel and started unloading the bags. We were looking around for the hotel and immediately saw a bellman running toward us. Jackson kept us out of the line of traffic and herded the four of us (and too much luggage) safely into the hotel. The Passeig de Gracia is different than city streets in the U.S. in that traffic runs next to the sidewalk on each side of the street, but there is a large walkway down the middle of the street. If you don’t realize this or you aren’t paying attention, it’s quite easy to walk right into the lane of traffic. We stored our luggage since our flight got in to Barcelona quite early, and the gentlemen helping us were wonderful. The gentlemen at the desk were very nice as well, and gave us very good recommendations for local restaurants. We were greeted warmly each time we returned from being out and we were always asked if we had a good day and if we needed anything. The bell staff was always on top of helping us get a cab, directions, anything we needed. We enjoyed our first time in Barcelona immensely, and look forward to returning.

    No Empathy, No Help, Just Kept the Money

    The worst part was not the non-refundable policy — it was the complete lack of empathy and customer service.My Schengen visa was denied, and I contacted the hotel well in advance to ask whether any flexibility was possible. Despite the notice, they refused to help in any way.I understand that non-refundable bookings come with restrictions, but good customer service is shown when unexpected situations happen. In my experience, this hotel showed no understanding and no willingness to find any reasonable solution.This was very disappointing and frustrating. I would not book here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values compassion, professionalism, or responsive customer service.

    Best Hotel in Barcelona, Stay Here!

    We stayed at the hotel twice during our European tour. Once at the arrival and again before departing back home. Of our entire trip, 4 countries In total, the customer service, , prime center location steps away luxury shops, cafes, restaurants, and top restaurants attractions, from amenities such as the gym and roof top bar, and clean hotel rooms , Condes took first place!Imagine waking up and having the entire city of Barcelona at your doorstep. LV is across the street, Gaudi homes on the same block, cafes, paella restaurants, tapas bar, Mango stores, etc all literally within a block. The customer service is top notch. From the check in team who seem like old friends greeting you back home to my experience with Marta at reservations department who ensured our reservation process was perfect and even provided her recommendations to the best Churros in BCN. The rooms are immaculate and clean. The water turns hot very fast and the views from our room to the street made me never want to leave. Don’t look further and book this hotel during your next Barcelona stay. You’ll enjoy every moment. Thanks again Marta and Condes. We’ll see you again very soon!Best,Mark.

    Theft at Condes Hotel Barcelona. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

    My wife and I booked a two night stay at Condes Hotel Barcelona prior to our cruise. As we entered the lobby of the hotel the bellman offered to help us with the luggage while we completed the check-in process. As we were about to finish my wife noticed that one of the luggage was missing. The front desk manager, Josep, reviewed the CCTV video and told us a thief took our luggage and recommended we file a police report. The GM of the hotel, Jordi, later told us the hotel is not responsible for the theft because it did not involve violence. WTF!!! It was one of his employees who lost our luggage. Any reputable hotel would reimburse us for the lost luggage and the contents since it happened as a result of the employee taking the luggage! I tried to contact their parent management company, Orbity Hotel Management, but they refuse to reply. I will continue with contacting the authorities but I am furious.

    Amazing stay

    We only had one full day and one night in Barcelona after arriving in the port with our Viking Ocean cruise. So I really wanted to make the day count. I splurged a little on Hotel Condes de Barcelona, but I could not have been more pleased with the hotel, the location, the amenities, and the friendly service. They had sent me an email with an offer of a car transfer from the port, and they have a secure luggage storage room for our bags. The doorman was charming. The hotel is in a perfect location. We felt very safe exploring from there. We walked back after our tour of La Sagrada. Check in is early (2:00 pm) and checkout was relatively late (noon). When we checked in, they provided two complimentary drink tickets for the Alaire, the rooftop bar (I had already planned to go there to see the views). Our room, overlooking the Passeig de Gracia, was quite spacious by European standards. The bathroom was gorgeous. Everything was immaculate. The bed was quite large and very comfortable. After enjoying our drink on the roof, we checked out the pool. It is a smaller infinity pool, but very private and lovely. We did not swim only because we were tired. For dinner, we walked just a block or so over to Las Ramblas for tapas. It was a memorable stay and a wonderful introduction to Barcelona
