Location

These apartments are located in the trendy district of Gracia in Barcelona, which teems with restaurants, cinemas, theatres and discos. The apartment hotel is located 2 minutes' walk from the beautiful Paseo de Gracia, one of the main streets of Barcelona, lined with fashionable restaurants, cafés and elegant shops and close to Gaudí’s house. Situated in the centre of the city, the accommodation lies a few minutes by metro from Plaza Catalunya, where guests can connect to a number of different transport networks.

Facility

The apartment hotel has a lift and features 13 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff are happy to assist and advise.     Hotel Charges Guests Twice – Refuses Check-in Without Extra Payment

    I paid the full booking amount in advance through Booking.com, including all taxes and fees. However, when we arrived, the hotel refused to let us check in unless we paid an additional €44.The staff claimed it was a “deposit” or “tax,” even though my booking confirmation clearly said “includes taxes and fees.” We were forced to pay on the spot, and no refund was ever issued.This is unacceptable behavior for any hotel. Guests should not be pressured into paying extra after full payment is already made.

    Cozy Stay with Room for Improvement

    Had a great stay overall! The room was cozy and clean, with a nice view. However, a couple things could’ve been better. The staff was friendly but a bit slow at times. The breakfast options were limited. Still, I would recommend this place for its value!

    We were shocked!

    We were shocked to see that there was no reception nor the receptionist for this "hostel"! The thing is we are a retired couple not young adults who can only go to hostels. We booked a nice hotel room according to the pictures although the price seemed too high we booked it for Cad $371.36 on the 6th of May for the two nights were coming back on May 17-18 before we flew back to Canada. When we took the taxi there (location is good) the taxi driver couldn't find a hotel, because there wasn't any hotel at the address. There was a locked door with the dingdong hostel name on it. Somebody called Hiam who said he worked there happened to be coming in so he told us the room rates are 20 €, but it changes sometimes. We realized that moment that we were ripped off so we immediately sent an email cancelling the booking with Expedia. When we came back today we realized that we were charged even though we never stayed in that hostel. This means they are openly ripping people off.

    We stayed here for one night before going elsewhere. It was fine, quite basic, no fridge, kettle etc. Checking in was tricky as we didn’t copy the email which mentioned how to check in. We struggled getting a connection to download the mail to get our code in order to get the room key.We asked for a twin room and did receive it.I might stay here again if I was staying for one night again, not for any more than that, after our stay we met friends and stayed further down this road and that place had everything.The location was good, easy access to public transport, we walked easily to Sagrada Familia and other places of interest.There is a nice shopping street close by and some great places to eat.

    Cheap and convenient

    On the + side: The room was small but was what we needed. It was very clean, from the sheets to the bathroom. The hotel was quiet and its location is convenient to go around Gracia. On the - side: Rooms aren’t equipped with a kettle and tea/coffee. There is not individual aircond so it can get warm or too cold.Overall: Good value for money! We recommend.
