    A tired and worn hotel. Really needs some paint and tlc. Furniture is sound as it is mainly solid wood, but this is ket down by faded wallpaper and worn soft furnishings.Staff really friendly and make every effort to help. Secure underground carpark. Large rooms - ours had two double beds and wasn't cluttered. Large bathroom with double sinks. Comfortable large beds with good mattress, an unusual find in Spain.Good location, close to local shops and bars. Much cheaper than near y Barcelona.The owners could have a fantastic hotel, if only they would spend a little money and show it some love.

    Good stay despite aggressive neighbour

    Very friendly service. Unfortunately we had a very agressive guest next door who was aggressively complaining about us talking in the room around midnight. There will probably be bad reviews about this from him, as he was very aggressive and threatening to call the police and to fight us physically. Staff handled this very well and were generally very friendly

    Nice hotel that needs some love

    I stayed here for 2 nights in March.Pluses:1. Very nice staff2. Nice breakfast buffet with hot and cold items3. Free, fast wifi4. Nice fluffy towels and duvets!5. Spacious rooms6. Clean and secure7. Walking distance to Vilafranca del Penedes Old Town, both the Moderne and Medieval walking routes8. Good price point9. In-room fridgeMinuses:1. The fridge didn't work. 2. Some of the rooms face a park and a parking lot with a large recycling bin. We were awakened several times a night by teenagers in the park; people smoking pot in the park, with a stink that came into our room; cars idling; people dumping glass in the recycling bin at 3am.3. Breakfast is not free4. The rooms were redecorated in the 1980s and it hasn't had much love since. Overall, it's fine for a night or two, but not an inspiring hotel. It's just OK.

    Nothing was especially wrong in this hotel, but maybe we expected a bit more. Staff was helpful and gave us some good tips about the restaurants. Hotel was clean and quiet but a bit far from everything.

    The hotel was reasonably priced, at least it seemed to us as it was the first night of 11 nights in Spain and Portugal. By the end of the trip it was clear that it was the most expensive one, but still comparing the Northern European prices, it was reasonable. The basic requirements were met and everything was ok. Little bit outdated, but it worked. Breakfast was ok, not very big variety for the price of 9eur per person, but it was better than just bread and jam. Coffee was not ok, it was some kind of instant coffee I think. Private parking in the garage was good for our bikes and service in the reception was friendly and kind. We really appreciated it!
