  Stayed here for 3 nights. Average hotel. The good:Location.Nice view over the marina, especially from the rooftop terrace.Friendly staff.Big room.The bad:Very busy road and windows that don't close properly. So always noise and the smell of exhaust fumes inside.Bed is rock hard.Room could use some interior design, quite Spartan, exacerbated by the small soviet style single window.Pool is tiny and knee height, rooftop bar abandoned.Have to walk a few 100 metres to another hotel for (mediocre) breakfast.

  This hotel is in a fantastic location. We walked EVERYWHERE. You are right next to the Gothic quarter where there is just about everything you need. Coffee shops, tapas restaurants, boutiques & so much more. You are also right across from the marina and the beach. We walked to the Franca train station for a day trip to Sitges - which was a highlight of our trip! We booked this hotel because we like to have space for our family as well as the benefits of a kitchen. We love a simple breakfast in the room. There were at least ten markets within a two block radius. The staff in the lobby were lovely and helpful. Housekeeping was impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel!   Fantastic apartments

  These apartments are fantastic. They are very clean, comfy and with an excellent location. We had a deluxe double which has the sofa bed and this was an actual bed and not a pulled out sofa. We were on the third floor facing the road and port and there was no problem with noise at all. In fact it’s the quietest hotel I have stayed at, we weren’t woken at all and I am a very light sleeperEven though the pool wasn’t open it was lovely to go and sit on the roof terrace in the sun.If we visit Barcelona again we would 100% stay here again Duquesa Suites, Atención al cliente/recepción at Duquesa Suites Landmark Hotel by Grup Duquessa, responded to this review Dear Client, Thank you for choosing us for your Barcelona getaway!   Lovely visit

  Had another lovely visit - we really enjoy the location in the gothic area so easy to get to the Marina and around the old town - we had room 405 this time and had a great view - a huge kitchen lounge diner - that meant our bedroom and bathroom were on the small side but we’d rather the space in the living area so we’re very happy - complimentary Cava / Wine / chocolates / coffee pods and water was a lovely touch thank you Having a kettle iron and ironing board and fully functioning kitchen was great too Plenty of storage for clothes as well was really useful Improvements- lack of breakfast on site and a small reception area can be annoying for some and I can appreciate that as both valid but no problem to us - that said I can’t wait to see the improvements next year Shame the bar and pool are currently shut but as you can still get up there to take photos not a major issue it is February after allAnyway lovely visit would 100% recommend Duquesa Suites, Atención al cliente/recepción at Duquesa Suites Landmark Hotel by Grup Duquessa, responded to this review Dear Client, Thank you for your wonderful and detailed review!   It looks good and has a "nice" location, but that's about it!

  It looks good and has a nice location, but that's about it! The location is good if you like it here, but you can't sleep because of the noise from cars and people, etc. The windows are far too thin. The beds are incredibly hard, and the duvets are too thin for winter. The heating is turned off at night, so it's incredibly cold. I couldn't sleep because of the cold. Never take the 5th floor because the windows don't reach all the way down. Only if you stand directly in front of the window than you have a nice view. But if you sit down or lie in bed, all you see is a white border under a window. The noise from outside is 24/7! It feels a bit like a prison. They're friendly here but don't offer solutions or even small compensation. The things they promise, like upgrades, don't materialize either. You have to go to the main hotel further afield for everything, so you have to wear your coat and sometimes even get through the rain to get to breakfast. There's nothing here! Not even a toilet in the reception area—you can hardly call it a reception. They are friendly, though.
