154 double rooms are located on 13 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     This is my second time staying at Four Points Diagonal. I came back because of the convenient location. But this time I was offered this experience that I never expected. After asking about the Catalan way of tomato and garlic bread, the two young men at the checkin counter put a basket of the ingredients in our room! My roomie and I came back after a long day of business and were ecstatic! We loved it!

    We liked everything about this hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious with an amazing variety each day, and it just made things easy for us so we never had a concern about making sure we were ready to start our day. The staff was very friendly and made check-in and check out easy. The room was always kept clean and although not big it was spacious enough for my wife and me. The location of it was pretty good as it wasn’t too far of a walk to the nearest Metro station. There were plenty of local shops, cafes, and restaurants within a short walk (some literally 30-60 seconds from the hotel entrance), and only ~15 minutes to the beach. We wanted a hotel that wasn't in the heart of the tourist area, i.e. Sagrada Famiglia, and this was definitely that. But getting to the tourist areas from the hotel was very quick and easy.We didn't use the fitness center on this trip, but I checked it out. I liked that it was on the 12th floor and had a fantastic view of the city. The equipment appeared in good shape and overall seemed like a good, basic hotel gym. Again, we were very pleased and would absolutely stay there again.     Great location with 100% great customer service. The rooms are a good size and very modern. The housekeeping team do an amazing job on the rooms. A large choice for breakfast and plenty of time to eat it 6-11 am.The staff are all so polite and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will use again.     Avoid! Room not ready for check in after 3 pm and poor customer service

    We arrived just after 3 pm and blonde woman in reception checked us in but said our room was not ready, said to leave and she took my phone number, said she’ll call me when room is ready. We wondered around not being able to start our Barcelona visit because our backpacks were heavy, we returned after 2 hrs even though nobody called us. Our room was ready but that woman never called us, she finished her shift and went home. Two days later I went to reception because she was on shift again and she completely denied it was her who checked us in and tried to deny everything but I told she knows who I am because she asked me to write my phone number down and she never called. Nothing was offered to us for inconvenience, and they still obviously expected us to check out at 12 pm. She is very unprofessional and it is completely unacceptable for room to not be ready at check in time, especially considering the price for the basic room we had was €220 per night and we stayed for 3 nights. It’s a shame I didn’t get her name otherwise I would have written her name here. When the hotel was contacted by the platform I booked with, the hotel declined any refund for inconvenience and basically denied any fault for not getting the room ready on time for guests. This says it all. If you see her in reception avoid her and go to see one of her colleagues, the others are professional and very helpful. I am starting to believe this is something to do with Marriott chain, this is the third time we use this chain, all in different countries and we did not have a good experience with customer service, all with reception staff.
