  Disappointing hotel experience

  I had booked and fully paid for this hotel from January 5-9, 2025. However, due to severe snowstorms and extreme weather conditions in the Netherlands, all flights were cancelled and I was unable to travel to Spain during this period. I informed the hotel management as soon as possible and requested a refund—at least a partial one—since my inability to travel was due to circumstances completely beyond my control (no flights operating to Barcelona).Despite my situation, the hotel refused any cooperation whatsoever and provided zero refund. I am extremely disappointed that they chose to impose the entire financial loss on me rather than showing any flexibility or understanding during a force majeure situation. This complete lack of customer care and refusal to work toward a fair solution is unacceptable. I strongly advise future guests to reconsider booking here, as you will receive no support if unforeseen circumstances arise. This situation was no exception and was evaluated with attention and care.On the day of your scheduled arrival, you contacted us from Netherlands to inform us that your flight had been cancelled and that, according to the information available to you at that time, there were no flights to Barcelona until the following day. As part of our responsibility, we reviewed this information and were able to verify that alternative flights to Barcelona were available, including options later that same day. We shared this information with you, along with the applicable cancellation policy for your reservation.According to our cancellation policy, requests made outside the permitted cancellation window — particularly on the day of arrival — are non-refundable. While our exception guidelines do allow flexibility in certain cases, and we have granted refunds in other situations where circumstances were fully justified and documented, in this instance we did not consider it a force majeure case eligible for a refund without charges, as travel alternatives were available and arrival was still possible. During our conversation, you also mentioned that you could arrive the following day but preferred not to do so.At the time, we clearly explained the non-refundable nature of the reservation, and you expressed understanding of this policy during the call. For this reason, we were surprised to read your later review and are sorry that your perception of the situation has changed.We genuinely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and that we were unable to reach a solution that felt fair to you.   Loved this apartment. Clean, great location next to several metro and bus stops. Located in a more residential area, so quieter and more authentic markets, stores. Staff were very helpful, booked us a cab to get to airport at 4am. Kitchen was functional, but a bit sparse on condiments/soap.   The apartment located in a central area, we could easily reach all the main touristic places. It is very clean, spacious, and well equipped. We lived on the 3rd floor, with view to the Sagrada Familia. There are shops, bistros and market near to the house. The stuff is very helpful. Highly recommended!   Great Location, Spacious Space

  I stayed in the regular "Stylish" 2-bedroom apartment with my wife and toddler for 4 nights and had a great experience. The location was central but just outside of the busiest tourist area, which was ideal. Staff were friendly. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. The main windows looked out to the inside of the superblock and had great views of an electrical storm that passed through on one of the nights.I'd rate Fuster 4.5 stars overall, but at this price point I would round down to 4 rather than up to 5 for a few reasons: (1) Property had a lift, but you had to walk up half a flight of stairs regardless. (2) Living room sofa back cushions were incredibly worn, making it difficult to sit comfortably. (3) Neither of the shower doors had rubber gaskets around them, causing water to go everywhere in both bathrooms. Even with these deficiencies, I would consider staying here again.   The location is very central. One can walk to most attractions. But the two bedroom apartment has only one decent bedroom with ensure bathroom as the second bedroom is tiny and bathroom is not attached. Kitchen is basic though a dishwasher and washing machine is provided. Staff is courteous.
