  DISGUSTING SERVICE – Stranded for Hours, No Help

  This was one of the worst and most stressful travel experiences I've ever had. I arrived at 8:00 PM, only to find the hostel completely locked with no staff. Other guests told me reception closes at 6:00 PM and they had received a check-in email — I received nothing.I spent hours trying to contact them via phone and WhatsApp, and even had Agoda customer service try to reach them — no response. I was stuck on the street for over 4 hours with no place to go.At 11:30 PM, they finally replied on WhatsApp with a single, useless message:"Where are you?"No apology. No solution. No responsibility.I was forced to book a last-minute, more expensive hotel and lost the entire amount I paid for the original booking. No refund. No compensation. Nothing. From there side I only contact agoda to try to refund the amount. This place is completely irresponsible, unprofessional, and careless. If you value your money and safety, stay far away from this hostel.

  When i booked the hôstel, it has the lowest rates so i told myself not to expect "more".Apart from very ideal location, the staff were all nice especially Cathy. She was very pleasant and accomodating. No wonder, she is from the Philippines.☝️ There are only 2 ladies' toilet in the second floor and one in the ground floor if im not mistaken.Never had major issues though.You get what you paid for.

  The first impression in a hostel is the front desk, in this case it was disappointing. Francis from Dominican Republic was so plain, not kind and careless, he did not explain about the way the hostel works, the places you have right to, he was chatting on the phone all the time. I had a luggage bag, 2 backpacks and a little Ukulele he had me walking around the hostel without even offering any help. The hostel was very basic, but quite dirty. I just stay one night and I’m glad I didn’t stay longer. Graciacity, Guest Relations Manager at Gracia City by Arc House, responded to this review Hi Jose, we understand! Francis and the staff is one of our best rated items regarding what our clients say in the main reputation platforms, maybe your case was isolated!We offer wifi, private and shared rooms, big kitchen, luggage store and a magnificent location, we hope you return and have better days!if you do return, it is up to you to choose to pay less for the same product, if you book through our website it will always be cheaper!Best

  Good location but needs improvement

  We really liked the location of Gràcia City Hostel. It’s in a very earthy bohemian area. The hostel itself was a decent deal but by no means cheap. We rented a 4-bed room for ourselves. Shared bathroom. Noise was tolerated by staff late into the night which was annoying and the bathrooms were not clean. Basic Breakfast Bat downstairs was a great deal at only €3 per person. Key things to have a great experience in BarcelonaWe have 12 bed, 8 bed, 4 bed, 2 bed and private. Maybe you needed a cheaper one, we have available!Our breakfast is recomendable, very cheap and very complete, you won't find something like that on bars/restaurants!We are working on our cleaning, is improving little by little.Regards from Spain!
