Location

Located on the upper part of Avenida Diagonal and surrounded by other broad avenues, this is the ideal home base for going shopping in the prestigious shops of the city's most fashionable shopping malls, including la Diagonal, one of the largest in Barcelona. The range of goods available is complemented by a succession of boutiques by the most prominent Spanish and international fashion designers. Just a short stroll away is the Pedralbes monastery and palace, which houses the ceramics and decorative arts museums. The Bus Turístic, ideal for guests wishing to see the entire city in a short time, has a stop right next to the hotel, and the historic city centre is just fifteen minutes away across the most iconic Barcelona landscape, the Eixample district.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with 2 lifts and 43 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected.     Don't come if you value your sleep

    So much is good with this hotel. Reception staff are lovely, really helpful, but the breakfast room staff are not so much.The location is ideal, the hotel foyer promises a good experience, though sadly that's not the case.Unfortunately I have never stayed in such a noisy hotel. I actually got one hour of sleep the whole night. The first room I had was facing the street, so even with the window closed, it was extremely noisy. So they changed me to room 137. If you are ever offered this room - run a mile, do not stay in this room.Firstly, there are no window blinds, so you cannot shut out the light at all. But the biggest issue is that your small bedroom windows are looking directly onto another room's patio. Meaning when they are on their patio they are literally three feet away from your bed. And if they are partying.....................Even when they are in their room you can still hear every word, every breath! As this hotel has two huge problems. Firstly that the rooms are not sound-proof whatsoever. Secondly, there are no soft-closers on the doors, so every single time any door is opened, it slams shut, and that continues throughout the night.Breakfast is a reasonable selection of cold items. There is no system at all for the hot food, very haphazard. If you want anything hot you have to attempt to find the server, to ask, and she was usually in the kitchen on her phone, drinking coffee. All in all, not a good place to stay.     Room was clean, reception is kind.Location wise is the best if you want to be midway between Camp Nou and city center.Breakfast was delicious and served in the best ways possible.     We have been staying at this hotel since August 2022, and it remains our top choice. The hotel is incredibly comfortable and perfectly situated, as it is close to many attractions and key locations, making every trip seamless.What is truly beautiful about this hotel is how wonderfully helpful and amazing everyone is. The entire team treats you with such care. We would especially like to highlight Jose and the night shift staff; he has always been an attentive and kind person who truly gives a soul to the atmosphere.It is a joy to encounter such a welcoming spirit that perfectly reflects genuine Spanish hospitality and high professional ethics.     Their "It's not our policy" policy sucks.

    I will start this review from the moment of booking. When we made the reservation, we accidentally selected an arrival date that was one day earlier than intended. Within an hour of making the booking, we realized the mistake and contacted the hotel immediately to correct it. No luck. The response was simply: “It’s not our policy,” even though the reservation had been made two months in advance.The room itself was not particularly comfortable, but it was acceptable and clean. The noise, however, was another story. Although the hotel is located on a quiet street (far from hot spots like La Rambla, the beach, etc.), the noise at night continued well past 2 a.m.Then came the biggest issue. We requested a wake-up call for 7:15 a.m., but we woke up at 8:25 a.m., leaving us only a few minutes before we were scheduled to be picked up for a pre-paid, non-refundable tour. When we went to the front desk, the young lady told me, “We tried calling you, but no one picked up,” which was clearly not true. When we asked that if no one answered, why didn’t they send someone to knock on the door (maids were literally cleaning the room next door), the response was: “We are busy. It’s not our policy. We will send someone from maintenance to check the phone.”There was nothing wrong with the phone. Later that evening, my wife asked to speak with the manager, but he or she was unavailable. However, the person at the front desk gave us a completely different explanation, saying that they had simply been very busy that morning—no mention of calling our room or sending maintenance. In other words: the morning person was caught in a lie. We almost missed our tour that day. The question is: what would have happened if we had missed a flight? Honestly, the hotel experience left a huge blemish for us. Had we been informed during your stay, we would have gladly checked availability to move you to a different room or floor to ensure a more comfortable experience.With regard to the wake-up call, we take this matter very seriously. Our system confirms that a call was placed to your room at the requested time, but unfortunately it was not answered. We understand how upsetting this situation must have been, especially given your scheduled tour. However, as the phone was functioning correctly, we are limited in how much further action we can take if the call is not heard or answered. That said, we regret any confusion caused by the different explanations you received at the front desk, as this is not the level of clarity and consistency we aim to provide.We are truly sorry that these issues left such a negative impression on your stay.
