Location

This hotel is located on a quiet street within walking distance of Avenida del Parallel. Las Ramblas, with its many shops and bustling activity, is about 300 metres from the hotel, the cruise port is around 500 metres away and the World Trade Centre is also very close. Guests will finds restaurants and the nearest metro station (Parallel, line 3) in the immediate vicinity, and Plaza Catalunya and the city centre are around 15 minute' walk away. Other nearby places of interest include Paseo Colon, Barcelona trade fair grounds (approximately 1 kilometre away), the Gothic District (roughly 1.5 kilometres away) and Montjuic mountain/Olympic park (about 100 metres away). The nearest beach is around 2 kilometres from the design hotel, as is the train station. Barcelona-El Prat de Llobregat airport is approximately 10 kilometres from the hotel and the airport shuttle bus leaves from Plaza España, around 1.5 kilometres away (5 minutes on metro line 3).

    Lovely staff, big comfortable bed and room, good location. Walkable to everything but also quiet.Sadly, the hotel didn't reach our expectations of a 4 star. Reception and bar are beautiful, but when you get out of the lift on the hotel floor its like a different hotel. Rooms tired and grubby, although bedding and towels clean. Carpets & curtains definitely in need of an upgrade. Photos attached

    What a lovely hotel. Not far from the centre / Gothic quarter a 20 to 30 minute leisurely stroll to so may places. Staff welcoming, rooms very clean and the food was excellent

    Shower flooded the bathroom & hallway with about 1-2" of water. The shower floor is made of a smooth slipper flooring making this a dangerous situation for a 73-year-old. Requested another room & was told that the hotel was full. They wet moped the room & I had to use the towel to dry the floor. Had a tour early the next morning and upon returning that evening when I went to the front desk that it was told "my fault" because the shower door was left open. NOT. I was told that the manager was aware of the situation. Upon leaving the next day, I asked to speak to the Manager about a reduction in the amount I paid for the room and was told that there would be none. The Manager was unavailable. Asked for information on the contacting the Manager (business card received) and that I would dispute this charge upon return to the USA. The response to my charge reduction dispute was "The claim is not appropriate, as the client stayed at our establishment and made the payment for the stay without any objection." Blatant lie. After my claim had been denied, I search the Internet for similar experiences of flooding in the rooms. The most interesting one of many found was on Facebook "Anyone else having issues with their shower? It's like the titanic in our room...flooded everywhere!"
