    Grupotel Gravina Barcelona.Excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, and the Old City. The hotel is very clean, with daily room cleaning and towels and bed linens changed every day. Breakfast was varied and the dining area was impeccably clean.The staff were extremely friendly and thoughtful — they surprised us with a cake and juice in our room after noticing it was my husband’s birthday (and mine the day before). A lovely personal touch that made our stay memorable.Highly recommended!     I booked this hotel for a surprise birthday trip for my husband. The hotel is central and good for accessing Barcelona. I booked a small room as we didn't want it for anything other than sleeping in. The room was perfectly adequate and comfortable. The court year view was somewhat less visually appealing than advertised as we looked out into open shaft that was devoid of aesthetic appeal. The bathroom was functional and clean and the shower was good. My biggest issue with the room was the noise. At times I woke up thinking there were people actually in our room. The walls seem to be paper thin and you could hear everything, even the lift going up and down. Neither my husband or I (and im a deep sleeper) got a peaceful nights sleep during out stay. Based on this alone I wouldn't choose to return. Overall a nice hotel with friendly helpful staff.
