This hotel is situated on Las Ramblas in the centre of Barcelona. Links to the public transport network, bars, shops and restaurants are all roughly a 5-minute walk away. The beach is only 2 km away, whilst transfer to Barcelona Airport takes approximately 20 minutes.

Facility

The hotel has 3 suites and 166 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Excellent hotel location and service - comfortable, clean and quiet room. Beautiful roof terrace. Breakfast was brilliant. The team were all wonderful and helpful. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and happy here. Will certainly return.     Spent 5 days in Barcelona, loved our stay at Hotel 1898. I booked a room with a balcony on the 5th floor, well I think I got the best room in the hotel, our own private deck! Amazing, worth every penny! Hotel was so clean and accommodating. Great views from our deck, with different musicians playing below. Hotel delivered a bottle of champagne the first day! Roof top bar was perfect! Wonderful, helpful staff! Miguel, Luca, and Ceci took great care of me, they were so very kind, offering so much assistance to a tourist new to Barcelona. Can’t say enough about them! Miguel is an asset to the hotel, hardworking and very kind! He took care of us at breakfast too, and helped me carry things back to the room. I was concerned about construction on La Rambla, the noise wasn’t an issue, maybe alittle challenging for navigating, but nothing you can do about it, just go with the flow. Local restaurants near by were perfect, Bar Lobo, and Gats, were great, if you want to stay near by. We enjoyed it all! Would love to return to Hotel 1898!     Fantastic hotel in a great location just off La Rambla. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with a large bathroom and a beautiful terrace. Rooftop pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers and pool towels. The rooftop bar has beautiful views of the city and is a lovely place to relax with a drink after a day sightseeing (complimentary cocktail masterclass on Thursday night was a lovely surprise!). Breakfast is very good with a good selection of fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, cereals, cold meats, cooked breakfast etc etc. Highly recommend this hotel.     Stayed for a few nights in May — a very pleasant experience. The lounge and rooftop were spacious, clean, and a great place to unwind. Staff were attentive and friendly, with a particular shoutout to Unai for going above and beyond. Rooms, location, and price were all wonderful. Highly recommend!     We had a wonderful stay. Location was great for walking excursions in the city, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the food on the rooftop was awesome. There is a huge variety of quality restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the roof with a little sangria and tapas.
