    This a good clean but cheap hotel, the rooms are basic, but beds OK, very clean if a bit tired, the water was very hot (eventually) and the reverse air conditioning worked. At the price if all you want is a bed for the night this is fine.

    We stayed at this hotel after a very long drive, we were very tired and in need of a shower. The bedroom was very small, but clean and okay. It was just as the name says: basic. Beds and bathroom. Bathroom was also okay and clean. Breakfast was basic but good. We would stay that again if we are in the region. Price is okay and staff is friendly.

    The hotel is situated close to the motorway and easy to find. The room was big with a separate well stocked en-suite bathroom.Breakfast was reasonable if basic.the other guests were very noisy, perhaps a sign in reception or action from the 24 hour receptionist would have helped.

    We picked this hotel as it was close to the motorway and because they accept dogs. The hotel has a free car park and was easy to find. The rooms are basic, but ok for just a stopover. Basic breakfast. Dogs not allowed in the breakfast room, but were allowed to eat our breakfast at the tables in the lobby where dogs are allowed.

    ... if you want just a little comfort or professionalism.There is absolutely NO WAY that I would recommend Expedia or Hotel Basic in Barcelona to a friend, a family member or a colleague after the treatment my daughter got a few days ago when she checked in as well when checking out!When she arrived at Hotel Basic the reception was rude, sad looking faces and there was no or very poor understanding in the English language. They used google translate to communicate!I do travel myself quite allot all over the world and have allot of hotel experience. The way the reception at Hotel Basic in Barcelona treats customers by using rudeness, throwing something in their own language (Spanish) to the customer, my daughter, that does not understand Spanish and by stealing from the customer, my daughter, by charging an extra night even though she made a cancellation and paid two day in advance when checking in, is something I have never heard of nor experienced and is unacceptable in every sense of the word! The reception made a mistake when she checked in, that they did not live up to and made my daughter suffer for it by charging her an extra night and by making her cry and feel uncomfortable and unwelcome!The staff at the reception made my daughter cry by treating her rudely and aggressively and that I can not accept!! btw ... Hotel Basic is located in middle of nowhere and all transportation is extremely poor if you want to use something else than taxi! There is basically nothing of interest in the area, nor any restaurants or stores.VERY POOR choice for a hotel!
