    Great location: 5 min walk to Sagrada Familia and 20 min walk to Casa Mila. Excellent breakfast. Two minuses. First, our room was on the top floor, was large and had an excellent jetted tub but had no windows except for skylights. Second, the lights over night stands were hanging so low that every time we tried to plug and unplug our electronics we were hitting the lights with our heads. I'm surprised nobody had been injured yet as I had nearly broken my head a few times.

    1. Terrible water heating system: the water changes from warm to cold after you bathed for a while and water remains cold even you wait for a long time in the bathing room. A very very terrible, and "unbelievable" experience.2. Feel being cheated: the actual building (without reception) you stayed is different from the photo given in the website. It's far away from the place it originally shown in the map (about 7-8 minutes walk) and this was not mentioned during the process of your booking. 3. Security problem: the rusted iron gate on the ground floor need a great force to close. I found that some residents left it unlocked but they think that it was locked.

    Let down by appalling service from completely disinterested staff

    I had said in my reservation communications that I was travelling with my young daughter and that a room with two beds would be required. At check-in, a double bedded room was allocated to us. On asking the boys (and, really, by their attitude boys they were) at Reception, I was told there was no other room to have. As the made-up double bed was made of two beds pushed together, I asked if they could be separated. I worked in hotels for years and know to be very polite to hotel staff if I need something they weren't expecting. I was told, without any exagerration, that I would have to do it myself. The hotel refused to help their guest with such a basic task. One of the boys arrived at the door fifteen or so minutes later and, from a few feet away, tossed the bundle of sheets and a blanket over to me, turned and walked away. What kind of attitude is that?As I've said, I worked in hotels for many years. I was, frankly, open-mouthed and appalled. What is particlurly disappointing is that, on our earlier arrival when we needed to store our bags until check-in time, the man behind the desk was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was let down very badly indeed by the representatives that took over from him later.     We chose this hotel because it is not in the busy city centre and because of it’s close proximity to the Sagrada familia. Beware: there is a hostel and a hotel, with the same name, quite close to each other. The hotel is okay. It is clean enough and the location is convenient. Also: it’s very quiet, so we slept well. Breakfast is not very good. But in the city there are plenty of other places where you can find breakfast.     Lack of hospitality and service

    The room was very clean, quiet, modern with walk-in rain shower. The service however needs improvement. I felt a lack of hospitality and gentleness especially from Jaime who answered me in a cold and imperative way. We experienced a major blackout throughout the whole of Spain and Portugal, Andrea was very helpful and altruistic. On the contrary, Jaime demanded on the following day that I pay for my whole stay while they had my credit card information and that the balance is usually paid at the end of the stay. He lacked empathy. Some courtesy lessons would do him quite some good. The breakfast service was minimal. I therefore cannot recommend this hotel.
