    Attentive Pampering hotel with great location in heart of La Rambla

    Excellent location with a very helpful and friendly front desk staff. La Rambla is under construction so less people watching from our room than we expected Our room was very comfortable and perfectly located with a private, street view balcony. The 24 hour food availability was great; good selection and really nice morning crew staffing it for breakfast. We also liked that they had 3 eating areas, with the front one (balcony to street) designated the quiet dining area. They were also very helpful with personal advice about getting best deals in Barcelona. One example, we saved $20 on trip to hotel with Reception's help. We arrived really early (7am) and they checked us in and held our luggage so we could tour until "check-in" time. Also, I was given a San Jordi rose because of the San Jordi festival. Would definitely return.

    Perfect location in Barcelona !

    This is the perfect location for my stay in Barcelona . A few steps to Plaça Catalunya to catch the Hop on Hop off bus, wonderful shopping nearby and supermarket plus the Boqueria Market and many eatery choices. Short walk to Flamenco show as well !Highly recommend a balcony room , typical Spanish balcony , where you can watch the activity below and spacious room and bathroom . Paving works happening on street during the day but not there in the day anyway and quiet after hours . Great 24/7 snack/breakfast bar , drinks included, beer and wine and delicious soft serve ice cream machine ! Courtyard area for communal drinks and meals . Lovely staff , Vivienne was a stand out welcome !

    Charming hotel right on La Rambla, walking distance to Plaza de Caralunya. Good buffett and clean modern rooms. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved it! Big shout out to Gemma and Vivienne in reception.

    The hotel has very good location, if you do not mind crowd and noise. Other than that, it is overpriced and old. The whole place if filled with this "old everything" smell. Our room was clean but no windows, tight and we felt like we are sleeping in a box. The all-day buffet sounds good but it is not. The food is cold and of poor taste. It looks like you have many options once they take you to intro tour but there are not. Specifically if you have some meal restrictions to observe. The staff is nice but that cannot compensate for all the flaws. All in all, next time we we certainly look for some other place.

    Hotel was oversold and dishonest

    This is our family's first trip to Spain. The hotel was oversold and we were given a double room for the family room we booked (for 4 people). Three beds were squeezed together. Hardly any standing room left. But they wouldn't admit it and said that "there is nothing we can do about it". After my protest, they agreed to change our room the next day and refunded a tiny portion for extra persons for 1st night. Very dishonest business. I wanted to talk to the owner (Jose Maria?) but he never showed up. Imagine this happens after you are very tired from a long flight but so excited because this is your visit to Spain, which by the way is a great country. We had fun the rest of the trip after this ordeal but the first night at Continental Barcelona left a very bad taste in the mouth.
