  My 4th time to Barcelona so chose this hotel due to location, arriving via train from airport just a short walk. Used metro and buses again very easy. Central location made getting around and exploring easy. Breakfast included which met my needs.   I was really upset staying here. I had really bad sunburn, which I take responsibility for. I am Scottish, not used to the sun, I was really burnt in my face and upset and the two men at the desk laughed and pointed at my face. I started to cry, I was in pain already, and they laughed at me. My friend I was with was not happy and she arranged for us to check out and go elsewhere. The people who work here are horrible bullies.   Great two-night stay, clean, quiet and super friendly staff.

  A lovely find! Great location, old-style grandeur hotel at very reasonable price. It’s as photos show - slightly old fashioned bed covers and sheets but something oddly reassuring and nice change from your slick corporate hotels. Spotlessly clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. Nider on reception was particularly great, as was the night manager. Gave me a lovely balcony room and even sorted me a kettle and coffee! The room had beautiful view over the marina, on the second floor - so an easy walk up the sweeping stone staircase. great if you are not a fan of lifts! Very good breakfast offering - nice touch of bottle of complimentary Cava next to the juices! All the staff I encountered were super friendly and helpful. Great customer service!   We stayed here December 2025 and on two previous occasions All our stays at this hotel have been perfect We booked a terrace room which gave us wonderfully clear views of the portThe rooms are comfortable and clean Staff are attentive and helpful when asking for any directions The breakfast is one of the best .. we were served by Cruzmelli each morning and she brought me freshly made eggs which were amazing .. very thoughtful of her We ordered Cava on arrival at a minimalextra cost and when we got to our room is was accompanied with luxury chocolates and a very kind note This is our go to hotel in Barcelona and we would like to thank you all again for a great stay Thankyou C M, Otros at Hotel Del Mar, responded to this review Thank you for your wonderful feedback.   Terrible stay, not recommended.

  Our stay at this hotel in Barcelona was extremely frustrating from start to finish.The bathroom smelled terrible, and every shower caused the floor to pool with water until the entire bathroom was flooded. This was unsafe and especially stressful since my wife is pregnant.To make matters worse, the listing claimed the room had air conditioning, but there was none, making the nights uncomfortable and far from what was advertised.When we brought these issues to the front desk, the receptionist was unprofessional and dismissive. He even suggested that the situation was my fault for “not explaining the problem correctly”, which was both disrespectful and unacceptable.Instead of offering a room change or any real solution, the hotel sent a maintenance worker directly into our room to “fix” the drain — invading our privacy and still not addressing the larger problem or providing an alternative experience.The breakfast was also disappointing, with very few options and almost no variety.Overall, this hotel failed in comfort, honesty, and professionalism. I would not recommend it to anyone — especially families or expecting mothers.
