  Uncomfortable beds, disappointing breakfast, and a tight lobby

  You can’t call it a hotel, it was much more like small apartments, the lobby feels undersized and fails to creat a strong first impression.Breakfast was basic and didn’t quite meet expectation as there was little variety😕Despite the inviting photos, the beds were a dealbreaker — uncomfortable and slippery which made it hard to get comfortable. No kettle, no coffee, no cutlery in the room.Only a 2-in-1 shampoo and finish🙁But the staff were really helpful and tried to provide us with kettle and iron and slippers.You can find much better stays with this price.   All praise for the hotel. I have been in this hotel twice, once in an exterior room, the second time in an executive room. Neat, spacious and clean rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. From the reception to the maids. A rich and varied breakfast. Whenever the road takes me to Barcelona, I gladly return to this hotel. Great objective recommendation.   Good Hotel, But One Staff Member’s Behavior Was Unacceptable

  Hotel Madanis met most expectations: the room was clean, and the majority of staff were cooperative. Regrettably, an incident involving a staff member named Jerson left us deeply unsettled. During a city-wide power outage, the main elevator stopped working. While navigating the dimly lit stairs, I slipped and injured my legs. Jerson, who was present, showed no concern—he didn’t ask if I needed help or first aid. When I requested to use the *service lift*, he firmly refused, claiming it was “non-operational” (**which was untrue**). Later, I discovered the service lift **was functional** and used it to return downstairs. When I confronted Jerson about his misleading claim, he became confrontational and **threatened to call the police**—a shocking escalation. I calmly agreed, as I had done nothing wrong, but this hostile interaction left me feeling targeted and disrespected. To clarify: - The power outage was unavoidable, but Jerson’s **dishonesty** about the lift compounded the problem. - His refusal to assist a visibly injured guest, followed by intimidation tactics, reflects poorly on the hotel’s standards. Other staff members were kind and professional, which makes Jerson’s conduct even more jarring. While I’d recommend this hotel overall, I urge management to retrain staff on empathy, honesty, and crisis response.   Excellent hotel choice for stay. Like a tourist, or biznis trip

  I stayed for the second time at Madanis Hotel for a week. The first time was in August last year. And now in October of this year, the same for a week. First I was in a standard double room. I have no complaints, clean, spacious, tidy room. The room is cleaned every day and towels are changed. View of the street. No noise. The breakfast is excellent and has a large selection. The staff is very kind and at your service. The reception is open 24 hours a day. I can organize taxi transportation from the airport to the hotel and back for an additional fee. In October, I stayed on the executive floor and premium room. Spacious, clean with the addition of an espresso coffee machine. All praise for the hotel and service. I will definitely come back when I come to Barcelona again. P.S. The hotel is close to metro transportation and a bus station. Close to shops, souvenir shops and restaurants, which is an additional plus. Any recommendation.   Thanks to Rafael at the réception desk who made my stay easier. My room was cosy, the mattress comfortable. It Is practical because the metro station Colblanc is very near and you are in the centre of the city in half an hour. The only little problem was the rain every day.
