    Excellent hotel experience

    We stayed for 3 nights and have to admit I would not go elsewhere next time either. Location is just perfect at Diagonal metro station, easy to reach the big tourist monuments. Check-in was smooth and unexpectedly early due to our morning flight. The reception area, the room etc has it's unique style, different from the hotel chains'. The receptionists were very kind, the breakfast is wonderful, full of local high quality salami, cheese, vegetable, tortilla etc. Nice gesture is the wine and crackers offered in the lobby area to start the evening with. Room was very clean and furnished with style. Totally recommended for those who would avoid the usual big hotel crowd and prefer a unique stay in the heart of Barcelona.

    Clean, Convenient and a Good Value

    We enjoyed our 4-day stay at the Mihlton. The hotel was close to a metro stop and a convenient walk to many of the tourist sites in Barcelona (Gaudí houses, La Rambla, etc.). We had a front room with a balcony. The street noise was a little loud, but it didn't keep us from having a good night's sleep. The hotel itself was very quiet. The room was on the small side, but adequate. I would personally classify it as more of an upscale pension hotel, rather than a Boutique B & B. It's actually 2 floors of a building which houses other businesses. The daily continental breakfast was fresh and offered plenty of variety. For Barcelona, this hotel is a good value.

    Didn’t even stay - still shocked by the poor service

    I am truly speechless at the level of poor service I received from this hotel.I was supposed to stay there this weekend but, due to a serious personal issue (which I informed the hotel about), I was unable to travel. The free cancellation period ended on Saturday, but I learned about my situation the following Tuesday. I kindly asked the hotel to postpone my reservation to the end of September—when they had availability—and even offered to pay a little extra, just to avoid losing the entire amount.They denied my request twice through Booking.com, which, while within their rights, was disappointing considering I reached out four days before my planned arrival. I then tried calling the hotel directly. They hung up on me, saying they had nothing more to say. Thinking it was a misunderstanding, I called again—only to be yelled at, told “ONLY IN SPANISH,” and hung up on once more.While I understand they weren’t obligated to accommodate my request, the sheer rudeness I experienced—especially from someone named Ruben—was beyond anything I’ve encountered in the hospitality industry. I later received a WhatsApp message from the hotel claiming that Ruben didn’t want to speak with people “who don’t listen,” which supposedly justified him hanging up. He also falsely accused me of insulting him, which is simply absurd.I’m incredibly disappointed—not just by the lack of flexibility, but by the appalling customer service. This experience was both frustrating and disheartening.

    Mihltona Barcelona: a gem!

    Lovely surprisingly affordable hotel in an amazing Barcelona neighborhood. Clean spotless room, wonderful coffee, snacks and wine, delicious breakfast and a charming rooftop terrace all make Mihltona Barcelona a wonderful home in this city. Our hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming ! I hope to be back!

    Perfect location for a long weekend in Barcelona, lovely clean rooms too. We had one of the internal rooms, it wasn't massive but did have space for a chair and desk, and it didn't have any natural light but did have a window we could open for fresh air. Lovely courtyard that was a proper sun trap! Free tea, coffee and water was a bonus.The host was LOVELY - when we asked for recommendations he sent me plenty of links via WhatsApp, had the best paella on the beach in a restaurant recommended by him :) would recommend the property!!
