  ⭐☆☆☆☆Maximum alert: this hotel is inhumane. I canceled several days in advance due to a serious and unexpected matter, and they still charged me the full amount. The woman who responded was rude and completely lacking in empathy. They treat guests as if they were not people, just numbers.   Honestly not the best choice if you want to stay for more than 3 nights at the epicentre of Barcelona. I guess we booked the best, refurbished room at the 5th floor but even so. Windows are poorely isolated, loud noise from air conditioning and building ventilation is more than disturbing. Elevator goes up to 4th floor with 2 persons max.

  Overall, a good stay and would recommend. Room was clean and good air con. Wardrobe, clean linens and bathroom clean. Given a hair dryer at check in too.Lift to all floors which is handy. Location is absolutely ideal - right by the entrance to the metro & lots of shops, restaurants and bus stops. Only negative - facilities aren’t great. Definitely need a little fridge, tea/coffee facilities & we weren’t told about all the building work prior to arrival so the whole hotel is covered in scaffolding and nets which obstructs the view that would have been really good & somewhat loud too from this. Also, randomly the fire alarm went off 4 times - once on the evening and 3 times in the night .Staff on reception lovely - very friendly. The location is the absolute selling point for this accommodation. Thank you! :-)

  Fabulous hotel in the centre of Barcelona

  Arrived to find hotel covered with drapes as work is being carried out on the building.1st impression was not good but the staff soon made up for that. Staff were so, so friendly & helpful. As a single (female) traveller I had no problems .I was in room 300 right next to the communal dining area - thankfully i was never disturbed by any noise. The room (as with the full hotel) is aged and needs updating however the place was spotless. The bed was clean & comfortable. The only complaint I had was the shower. The rail was falling down and was smaller than the shower base the result was the curtain tended to stick to you but the shower itself was good. The air con was old but absolutely fabulous - being there in the hight of the heatwave I tended to return to the room often just to cool down. The TV had no english channels - I was not there to watch TV though. The room had a tiny window up high - I never opened the curtains - no need.I would highly recommend this hotel as a base to travel from - very basic but that's all you need, somewhere clean and comfortable. I will definitely use this hotel again

  One of the best value hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location is brilliant, right on the corner of the Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. The view from our balcony was worth the money alone just spectacular. The rooms are clean with everything you need and the beds are comfortable. Finally the staff were brilliant. Very chatty and very helpful. If I go back I will be booking here again.
