  Hot, Sleepless Nights and Zero Solutions — Ruined Our Stay

  I recently stayed at ibis budget Barcelona Sant Andreu de la Barca from April 9–15 with my wife, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience especially for our first visit to Spain.The biggest issue was the temperature in the room. It was extremely hot throughout our entire stay, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The air conditioning was either not working properly or blowing what felt like warm air. By the third night, it stopped working entirely. We repeatedly asked the front desk for a fan, as we were both sweating every night and couldn’t rest. We were initially told the hotel didn’t have any fans, and when they finally found one on the fourth night, it didn’t even work.To make matters worse, you can’t realistically open the windows to get fresh air. The hotel faces a highway, so opening the window just brings in constant traffic noise, making it just as impossible to sleep. So we were stuck choosing between a hot, stale room or loud noise all night.We were also told that the hotel controls room temperatures centrally for cost-saving purposes, which explains why the AC never actually cooled the room even when it was supposedly “working.” The air in the room felt stale, and overall comfort was extremely poor.Another frustrating moment was when I asked for a box of tissues. Instead of providing one, staff opened a box and handed me only 4–5 sheets, saying they weren’t allowed to give out a full box. That level of restriction was honestly shocking.To be fair, the front desk staff were polite and tried to help, but they ultimately had no real solutions to offer.This stay genuinely affected our trip and left a bad impression. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

  The rooms have terrible interior. The bathroom wasn’t clean at all. There were ants in my bathroom, on the toilet seat and around the sink. It’s also clear that the room are very old. The window almost doesn’t open and the room smelt terrible when we first went inside.

  i would never stay again. sign says 49 euro, we had to pay 81 euro. no way to open and close the bathroom door without making noise so you hear others doing so all night. our room had lots of cigerette burns in the floor even though it is a non smoking hotel. who puts out cigs on the floor? bread for breakfast. Obviously during Easter with the hotel fully booked the rate is higher than usual. You could check it out when you made the reservation upon BB basis on our site.   stayed at this hotel with my wife while I was in Barcelona with work,its clean and modern the staff were excellent especially Alejandro who went out off his way when I encountered problems with my truck,if your in the area and need a hotel then this is the one

  The Hotel was as per our expectations, easy to locate, comfortable, clean, room with TV and Wifi working perfectly. Staff was friendly. There were few parking places on the outdoor park but it was easy to find places nearby.
