Hotel lied about a complaint filed

    rating08 Jun 2025

AVOID! I booked through Capital One's travel portal for 2 nights for my parents. My dad called after checking out that he had an issue with the air conditioning making loud noises so that both he and my mom could not sleep well for the 2 night stay. He talked to the front desk at 7am after the second night, but as it was check-out day, the hotel could not offer anything. I filed a complaint with Capital One who reached out to the hotel asking for a form of compensation. We were denied anything since the hotel "conducted its own investigation" and said no complaint was filed. A total lie! My dad has a photo of the receptionist's business card as proof that he spoke to them about this issue. But for future reference, it's hard to prove a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, even with a photo of it. Definitely get something in writing from the front desk confirming that you filed a complaint about something. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    Disgusting!!!

    rating28 Jan 2025

Disgusting! Simply disgusting! During an international conference, the prices were raised 6-7 times from the standard price and in general such impudence is simply shocking! It would be fine if the hotel corresponded to the price of 600+ euros per day, but no! The room stinks of rot, there is dust on the walls, mold in the bathroom, the view from the window is on the wall and hanging pants of neighbors. I have never seen such a terrible hotel!! And for such an impudent price!! All the photos on Booking.com and other sites are very embellished and do not correspond to reality. Moreover, taxis do not come here - to call someone, you need to wait more than 30 minutes. We left the room even earlier than planned, because it was impossible to stay there any longer. The hotel managers should be ashamed to raise prices like that and completely fail to correspond to the quality of the services provided

    Nice three day stay.

    rating31 Dec 2024

Was for a 3 day visit to Barcelona was an enjoyable stay no problems. Just be aware of local bars and restaurants close by they can be tourist traps. Needed to use taxis a lot to get about but do have great public transport system if you know who it works.

    My experience.

    rating03 Apr 2024

I stayed at this hotel the day before my departure. It has an interesting set up in terms of entering the hotel. Either they let you in or you can get in with your room key. The lobby... what can I say... It is a budget hotel and there is not much to see. There are some chair that look filthy and then there is the front desk. There are 2 elevators to take you to your room. The rooms... After seeing the lobby... I was expecting something similar in the rooms, but I was pleasantly Suprise. The rooms (we had 2) were a good size by European standards and were clean. To turn on the lights, you have to insert the room key into the slot next to the door. The floor was clean and shiny. The bathroom had the basics and water pressure was decent. There is a closet and a safe. There was no ironing board or iron and we did not request one. There is Flat screen TV that I did not turn on. King size bed was comfortable, 2 nightstands, A desk and a chair. A large window with a view to the street and apartments across the street. The AC,,, one of the biggest problems in a lot of hotels in Europe. Let's just say it did not work even though the problem was notified. So we slept with the window open. Thankfully it was cool outside. I cannot imagine staying here during the summer months. Even 70 degrees outside would make the room hot. There was breakfast but we did not tried. We had to leave early.Transportation can be an issue. There is a bus that passes very close to the hotel (V1) but is not that frequent 10-25 minutes. The are 2 metro stations between 8-10 minutes walking distance. If you walk to Gran Via you will find a lot of buses and a Metro station that can take you to the center of Barcelona or to the airport. Bus #46 will take you to the airport terminals. Metro L9 will also take you to the airport.Somewhere I read a reviewed that mentioned that walking after dark around the hotel did not feel safe. I think that walking at nite anywhere doesn't feel safe. We did return to the hotel from the Metro Station around Midnite with no issues.Would I stay here again? well it depends. I payed 75 Euros per room which was not bad for Barcelona. I would not stay here during the summer months. Please improve the lobby area... at the very least change those filthy chairs.
