  It was a brilliant stay, really welcoming hosts and a lovely big clean room. We had a balcony with a view of Placa Catalunya. The location is perfect, a 3 minute walk from where the airport bus drops you off and a 5 minute walk from the top of the Rambla. We would thoroughly recommend

  i stayed 4 days in this apart hotel. it's definitely not a 4 star , there was so many things that added up to make it a less than pleasant stay .in terms of location was great, the staff were good as well , but any other thing was a shock for me.the pictures in the site wasn't clear.it was one floor from an old building with different side by side rooms. any one in the corridor can listen to the guest inside.old style lift( if the upper floor didn't close the door of it then no one in the ground can take it).the toilet was so small with curtain for shower, sink size fit for kids , with no amenities just the hand bar with essential items( literally essential) , room wasn't that clean.no mini bar or kettle, if i need coffee i have to go to the small weird lobby to have hot water with instant kind of coffee. i paid more to take a room with terrace then ended up with the weirdest balcony/ terrace ever without door( with window only), although they offered another room in check in , but all of them have no privacy at all & anyone in the other room would jump in easily. i wanted my stay to come to the end ASAP. this place turned my vacation into miserable & doesn't worth the 831 Euros i paid . ( i didn't mention that they cancel from their side my reservation at check in time & made new reservation for me without asking me IDK why, which was a big deal for me & my loyalty program.

  We stayed 5 nights with Ainhoa and Bruno at Izaila Plaza in late September. We cannot speak highly enough of the kindliness, friendliness and assistance they showed towards us. From making tourist recommendations, advising us how to best get around the city and their general positive attitude, we could not have asked for more. They are the most wonderful people and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and Izaila Plaza. Please, please, if you ever do come out to Australia again we would love to welcome you to our city. We will also hopefully be back in Barcelona one day to renew acquaintances.   Exceptional experience at a very reasonable price point

  Ideally situated just off the Placa Catalunya that makes reaching La Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia, Cortes Ingles, and the main Tourist Information Office by foot all within 5 minutes. The rooms are spacious by European standards and are very clean and modern. The couple that runs this small hotel are so friendly, very helpful, and delightfully enthusiastic about sharing their city and their favorites. There's a small old timey-style elevator you can use, but we mostly used the stairs. Includes fast wifi (fast enough to stream videos) and air conditioning. As a smaller place, if you come in at night after hours, you have to punch in a code to enter the building and then the hotel. Highly recommend and would come back next time I'm in Barcelona.
