  Great location on a lovely street close to many attractions.

  Great location. Close to bus which goes everywhere and within walking to main attractions. The whole place needs some tender loving care. It feels quite neglected. The room we had was very small but being in Barcelona this is expected. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The only breakfast in our two week trip throughout Spain that did not serve hot options. Victor is very nice but he needs to be more informed what is typically offered in a Bed and Breakfast. Outside terrace needs some work. Maybe in the summer it would be better but it had been abandoned and there were still beautiful sunny days. Very close to several restaurants and bakeries. On a beautiful wide street.

  Very nice place, sited in town center, in a posh area with a very beautiful view with massive renaissances style buildings and trees all along the road; just 10 minutes walk from 'La Rambla'. Victor the owner is been very kind, friendly and helpful with us. Breakfast was also included in our deal, amazing tastefully with different choices. Big Bedroom and private toilet, everything meticulously clean and scented. The costs were balanced with the structure services and the position sites. Definitely i recommend it to have a visit!!!!   Fantastic Barcelona!

  la/casa gran Barcelona was wonderful for our brief stay. Anna & Daniella were very gracious and helpful. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing in our beautiful rooms as well as on the open deck in the early evenings. We highly recommend la/casa gran Barcelona!   Central but noisy

  We stayed 3 nights here, in Room A, a deluxe double room. Our room was smallish, but not unexpectedly so. There was a small en suite bathroom with shower. Bed was comfy, pillows a little too firm for my taste (but I found this to be true of 5 out of 6 hotels I stayed at in Spain/Portugal). There was a very small desk with chair in the room and a single easy chair. The biggest problem I had with my stay was that the room faced Av Diagonal, a busy noisy street. I had to download a white-noise app (good wifi provided) to drown out the traffic. I think this is a known problem, as free foam ear plugs were available at the bedside. Unfortunately ear plugs are not very comfortable or effective. Maybe a small white noise machine could be provided?The upside of its location obviously is that it is central. Easy walkability and plenty of buses, metros etc. If only it did not face the avenue... Lots of dining options in the area.We met Victor when we checked in, chatted for a short time and he was not seen after that. We had more contact with Ana who served us breakfast - very sweet. Breakfast was large, esp the charcuterie board. They gave us a small carry out bag of yogurt, apple and pastry the one day we had to go out early.I have no issues with the service or the amenities, but I would look for a quieter location if/when I return.   Realistic Expectations

  While the description clearly stated no front desk, the reality of that was a B & B where everything from breakfast to check in had to be pre-arranged resulting in less than a ‘go with the flow’ experience. We have stayed in others B & Bs and woke to a breakfast buffet of local foods and fresh baked goods. The pics of breakfast showed a lovely table with fresh cut fruit and a wide selection of pasteries. In reality the fresh fruit was two bananas or two apples in a bowl. Breakfast was the same each day, a choice of 3 meals (yogurt with nuts, a meat & cheese plate, or toast and jam) one of which had to be pre-ordered the day before. We stayed in the double and made it work, but it is better suited to one person as the shower was a box in the bedroom, there was 1 chair and 1 low table for a suitcase. No dresser nor closet to unpack into. So my bad as they were clear about the front desk, hence the generous rating of 3, but the ratings and pics raised unrealistic expectations. The breakfast we serve is based on fresh local products such as cheeses and charcuterie, homemade sponge cakes, fresh orange juice, sourdough organic bread or homemade granola for the yogurt bowl. The breakfast is freshly prepared every morning and it doesn't stand in a buffet for hours, this also helps not to waste as much food. It is really a pity that you could not appreciate it.
