    Comfortable and clean rooms, but don't pay for breakfast if you're vegan.

    Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Exactly what we'd hoped. The hotel is in the outer area of Barcelona, so not particularly close to the key sights and main body of the city. We had our 5 year old with us, so public transport wasn't the best option to get around - some journeys took around an hour to get to an attraction within the city. We used taxis multiple times each day - you'll need to factor this into your budget. Staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful.Breakfast was disappointing for us (hence the 3-star review). We're both vegan, and had asked multiple times before our visit for options to be made available at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, there was very little on the general buffet that we could eat that made a satisfying breakfast. Things that could easily have been vegan had meat tossed in with it (steamed broccoli had ham in it, for example). Staff were kind in bringing plates of grilled vegetables each morning, but this wasn't the sort of breakfast food we'd hoped for, and not the same as being able to choose from multiple options, like everyone else.Overall, a pleasant stay, just let down by not really catering for our vegan requests.     Despite being frequent travellers, this has been our first stay at a Leonardo hotel. We chose this hotel thanks to many positive reviews we read and I must say that it exceeded all expectations! All staff members are helpful and well-mannered, and we must thank one particular receptionist Leri as she has been very professional and she went out of her way to help. The location is not central, but there are several bus and metro stops round the corner and the X3 bus takes you to Plaza de Espan̈a in just 12mins. Good connection to the airport. The area is safe. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Rooms decent. Breakfast abundant. Excellent stay.
