    Get a jacuzzi suite!

    rating05 Jun 2025

A strange place to review. Many amazing elements and a few entirely perplexing ones.Pro:- Incredibly friendly staff - stunning renovation- great decor in the public areas- super location- free parking (3-7 minutes walk away)- excellent breakfast- the mirador jacuzzi suite has a private balcony with a private jacuzzi and beautiful views- very comfortable bed- dressing gowns for use Cons:- no natural light in the suite, other than the bedroom, and that window is small- very noisy airco - impractical furniture (no bedside tables, no desk, no chair in bedroom, no wardrobe in bedroom)- too much furniture in the living room- no sink in the toilet. The sink is in the living room- the shower is in the living room- there are three doors between the bed and the hall on the hotel floor. All are glass. They refract the light that beams directly into the first door. It's never dark in the bedroom. - one silly but unnecessarily annoying thing. The free welcome drink cards had pictures of cava and cocktails. But you were only allowed beer and soft drinks. It would be easy to add what you're entitled to on the card. The jacuzzi, breakfast and staff make this a 4-star hotel, otherwise I'd be tempted with a 3-star review. Get a jacuzzi suite! Atentamente, Les Clarisses Hotel Boutique

A beautiful hotel but with room for improvement!

    rating09 Sept 2024

We received a warm welcome on arrival and first impressions of this wonderfully restored convent were very positive. When we stayed the hotel was very quiet and although the front desk was always staffed there seemed to be few employees around. The room was attractive and the amenities seemed pretty upscale. However, my room (a superior double) didn’t have bedside tables - only a tiny shelf with an inbuilt light, barely big enough to hold a class of water. There was a small pouffe also beside the bed on which was balanced the house phone. There was neither chair nor desk in the room and the Nespresso Vertuo machine was balanced on top of the tiny minibar - with no easy access to a plug socket rendering it useless. Breakfast in the morning was only adequate. A very limited range of cereal and no real service to speak of. When items ran out We had to go looking for someone to help. The young lady who was present in the entrance to the dining room was very helpful but there didn’t seem to be any staff in the kitchen so it seems she went off herself to fry a few more eggs. When I returned to my room in the evening I discovered it had not been serviced. I was only staying one more night so I didn’t ask for it to be done since I wanted to rest before going out for dinner, The hotel is in a great location and has the potential to be truly special, but I regret to say that it did not impress on this occasion.

    Upgraded room is worth it

    rating18 Nov 2023

This is our second time staying here and it was a much better room. We stayed in a suite with a Jacuzzi in the room. Last time our room was very small and stuffy but we enjoyed the location and hotel so much we decided to try the upgraded room and it was worth every penny. We will be back next year!

    Great location

    rating14 Oct 2022

This is a lovely old Covent that is now a boutique hotel. The location is convenient as well as beautiful. . Breakfast is excellent, the dining room is lovely with a beautiful Courtyard to eat outside as well. All the common areas are very comfortable and interesting. Staff was delightful. We were in room 131, it is rather small, with an awkward setup that did not allow easy access to the small shelf that served as a night stand due to the elaborate headboard, so I had to use the small chair as a night stand. Bathroom also very small with no countertop or shelves or hooks for anything. But we made it work for the 3 nights we stayed. The small balcony allowed for fresh air as the room had the heat on even though it was very warm outside. The air conditioning had already been turned off centrally. I must also mention that I believe there may be mold in room 131. The entire time I was inside the room I had an allergic reaction. I was fine in all the public spaces as well as outside, so I came to the conclusion it must have been mold somewhere in the room. Hopefully that will be resolved as we definitely would love to stay next year when we return to Vic.

Beautiful Hotel in a great Location

    rating25 Sept 2022

This is a beautiful hotel in the centre of the old town, set in a former convent. The building is very old but has been delightfully modernised, and has its own beautiful garden - surprising bearing in mind the narrowness of the streets surrounding it and the crowdedness of the old town. Staff were pleasant and helpful and our room was beautiful. Our one disappointment is that we had hoped to dine in the hotel restaurant and had expected some excellent regional cuisine, but the hotel now features a Japanese restaurant. So we ate out in the evening instead and had some excellent Catalan cuisine. Breakfast was good, however, if rather quiet, as we were the only people in the restaurant at that time. The hotel has no car park, but offer a discount at a nearby underground car park if you get your card stamped at reception before you leave. Vic is a beautiful little town and well worth exploring.
