This popular hotel is ideally situated in the city centre, near the Plaza Catalunya. Many of the city's top tourist sights, as well as countless shopping and entertainment venues, are within walking distance of the hotel or may be reached by using the public transport network.

    DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! In January I made a reservation at the Hotel Lleo for May 12-15. I used a Mastercard to guarantee the reservation. On May 12th at 11:56 th hotel emailed me in Spanish. I was traveling at the time and didn’t see the email until I was en route to the hotel. At that time I called the hotel to find out my reservation had been cancelled. I was told that the credit card I used to guarantee the reservation was declined and there were no longer any rooms available. I was forced to find another hotel quickly while on the way to Barcelona causing me tremendous stress and 300 additional euros. When I called my credit card company they told me that there was no attempt to charge my account by your hotel. Regardless, there was no reason for it to be declined. Later I also went to the hotel website and made another booking just to see if I could have mistyped my credit card number. The hotel booking system does not allow an invalid credit card number to guarantee a room. I believe the error in attempting to charge my card was on the hotel’s end. Or perhaps they were overbooked and used the credit card as an excuse to cancel my reservation. I have booked reservations and stayed in hotels around the world and NEVER have I had a reservation cancelled like this, and I find the hotel’s actions outrageous. To give 3 hours notice by email when a person is traveling en route to their destination is unreasonable. I don’t want other travelers to have the terrible experience I did.

    The hotel is nice enough, check in staff were friendly and welcoming and the bar area and lady serving was nice. The rooms are big and spacious although beds are very hard. However the rooms have no sound proofing, no carpets. It’s all hollow and echoes. You hear people showing above you almost like the water is hitting your ceiling. We were awoken 2am but the guest next door chatting away on his phone for an hour, was like he was in the room with us. We did ask him to be quiet but he ignored us. Then 8am you hear the cleaners and other guests which is to be expected but the sounds of doors slamming and echoes resonate from down the hall. Then 8:30 drilling started outside. It’s a great location, friendly staff but would not come back.

    A Must Stay in Barcelona

    As a couple it’s our third time in Barcelona. We spent 4 nights at this Hotel. Room #105 with an open terraceLocation: Best, 10/10, The hotel is located very close to Catalunya Square, Passeig de Gràcia, Las Ramblas, Ramble de Catalunya, different Renfe (train) & metro stations, restaurants, patisseries, cafes, groceries, all kind of shopping etc. Buses from airport directly arrive here within 30-35 minutes. Check-in & out: Easy and smooth 10/10, I advise you to do online check-in. So that the only thing you must worry about is paying the city tax, remaining amounts in reception and receiving door pass quickly. We arrived at the hotel around noon, and they allowed us early check-in, for free, thanks.Personnel: Overall, very kind and helpful 10/10. Unfortunately, some may not speak proper English, but not a big deal.Room: Room is very large, however, a little bit worn-out. Slippers are available by request; however other basic amenities are missing. We didn’t need A/C in this season much but works noisily. Daily cleaning was timely and excellent. WC/shower area is clean. The beds are ok. 8/10 There is safe and minibar in the room. The sound isolation could be a problem, if other guests were not respectful.Common spaces: 8/10, it’s a boutique-size 3-star hotel, so don’t expect too much.Wi-Fi: 8/10Security: 10/10, reception is always available. You need your key to enter the hotel as well as use the elevatorFood: 9/10, very good with fresh orange juice daily was a huge plus for us.Overall hygiene: 10/10Overall: Our experience was 9,5/10 and we might consider staying in this hotel again on our future trips.

    We stayed one night here before our tour. Location and accommodations are perfect. Front desk couldn’t be more welcoming. The beds were comfy and the shower a 10 out of 10! And breakfast had everything you’d want in a lovely room.

    Very convenient location,airport bus drops of within 5 minutes walk for 7 euros (what you save on The taxi upgrade your hotel ).check in quick friendly ,bright clean first impressions ,grand piano in the bar lounge area ,all looks very fresh,roof top pool ,views and bar,sun beds as others noted need replacing awfully uncomfortable .Room 422,tiny window looking out to internal ventilation shaft, 4 walls, no daylight other from top of shaft ,tiny room as well ,good size shower room though and been refurbished as all very modern and clean agin ,Beds comfortable ,no chipboards underneath as others stated so probably new mattresses.smell in room each time we returned,again there was an electric Air Cleanser to use we assumed as reception didnt mention it ,so it’s obviously a problem they cannot erase .tea and coffee and kettle supplied but paper cups not the best !.Construction noise is constant during the day so no relaxing by the pool !!, we did not hear anything at night so a plus point from being in the interior of the hotel.the hotel next door must be connected and possibly a 4 star.we booked via our TA so not sure of cost but would not choose to return unless a better room .Breakfast was 16 Euros so we ate at one of the great coffee shops around the block for 5 euros each !!,Nuria restaurant was really good nearer the playa catalunya,also lots of eating places around the hotel .Taxi to port ,scammed us we think supposedly 10 euros and charged us 25 euros saying port fee on the meter price of 18 euros ! It seems as ramblas is closed to traffic they have to go a long way around but shouldn’t have been 25 euros .
