Location

This luxurious city hotel is located directly in the centre of Barcelona. Public transport departs from stops in the immediate vicinity (50m away). The town centre is only a short walk away and can be reached comfortably within half an hour on foot. The Olympic village is located around 2km from the hotel, the beach 4km, Sitges around 35km, the Casino in Sant Pere de Ribes around 43km, the Costa Brava around 60km, Montserrat around 68km and Barcelona airport around 20 minutes by car.

    We stayed here a few years ago and decided to give it another visit and was tempered by the staff which we thought was a very nice touch. Special thanks to Judith who made us feel very welcome she looked after us very well indeed. The hotel is great and the breakfast in the morning was full of variety and plenty of choices available for any tastes. The produce was of good quality and the show kitchen was a nice touch , thank you again to all especially Judith we will be back.     Avoid if you want a good nights sleep and a quality room - Does not match Melia quality

    The Level at Melia Sarria Barcelona Junior Suite with breakfast buffet and Spa - 4 days €1200Doesn't match Melia The Level quality of other hotels and is much higher priced, i chose it since i had good experiences at other The level melia and was disappointedMuch more expensive than other the level hotels i have been to but much much worse qualityI arrived and was given non-working room keys, went down to replace them. Went back,. different room than pictured on the website that i paid for and had lots of problems inside, doors hanging off hinges, non sealing windows with wind and road noise coming in etc.. Went back down to complain, after a long wait i got showed other worse rooms by hotel manager and refused them until eventually got the room that i paid for. Room also had bad doors, constant buzzing noise from an electrical box, electrical issues with lights, doors wont close properly including shower door. Room is extremely cold as the windows wont close properly and wind and noise is coming through. AC will not warm up room and only puts out cold. Complained again the next day and had to ask for hotel manager as it wasnt being resolved quickly. Got moved to a suite after repeatedly being told i was lucky to get the room i had before (the room that i had paid £1200 for, for 4 nights) and telling them i was unhappy with it and it was unsuitable. The suite looks OK, after spending the night the windows also wont close and seal properly, and there was whistling wind noise and knocking all night as the windows creaked from lack of proper closing seals. After another sleepless night complained again and was offered another room, i refused and was offered refund for 1 night. i took refund and left hotel early and booked somewhere else. Totally crap experience and doesnt match Melia The Level quality iv'e experienced before Internet very slow (20mbit download 3 mbit upload). Area has poor 5G reception and only gets 4G so its barely faster using phone dataPoor quality buffet food that is stale and clearly put out over and over again until someone eats itHorrible dated rooms with tiny 30" TV setsEvery room i checked had both major and minor issues that required calling maintenance or complaining and make the whole experience very stressfulSpa is small and not inclusive in The Level, you get a free single use coupon for 30 minutes and thats it The gym is very high quality and clean and has very good equipment The whole hotel is almost typical of Barcelona hotels that give you crap rooms with a load of issues at an extremely high price, i would recommend finding a new built hotel in El Poblenou area that doesn't have build quality issues, there are much cheaper and higher quality options there Guest Experience, Otros at Melia Barcelona Sarria, responded to this review Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your recent stay.     Stayed for 8 nights in a Junior Suite, room 407. Room was spacious with separate lounge area and comfy sofa. Large bedroom with comfortable bed - one of the most important aspects of any hotel stay. Excellent walk in shower. High standard of housekeeping. Bottled water replenished daily.We opted for The Level which was excellent. Delicious breakfast with wide range of choices plus tapas and beverages available throughout the day. All staff were friendly and helpful.We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will return next time we visit Barcelona.     Could be better, could be worse.

    My family and I were the guests in Barcelona’s “Meliá-Sarrià” from August 24th-27th, 2025. The administration promised us two separate queen beds, but there were only two little beds as one big bed. I slept on the little sofa, which did not work as the bed. The buffet was small, we even ordered the food from some local café, and met the delivery boy outside of the hotel. Our room had the bathrobes, but not slippers; in the restroom, there was also the bidet. It was my first time in Europe.     We loved the hotel. It was very clean and all staff were really friendly and helpful. We would like to say thank you to Guille from the restaurant for making our first night at the hotel special. He did a list of all the places to visit, went the extra mile to make sure our drinks were perfect and made us feel very welcome as did all the other members of staff.
