  Definitely not 4 star. Cold, noisy, dirty and in need of repair

  Having arrived into Barcelona late we had really difficulties locating the property. We would have benefited from directions or a map showing us what it was near or next to. We rang the bell as instructed for quite sometime but no one answered us, thankfully another guest let us in so we could check-in using the machine. This was ok but very repetitive as we had been asked to check-in online prior which seemed like a pointless task.There were no welcome greatings inside the apartment, no instructions on how to use things, rules regarding rubbish etc just a sheet with email contact details and a map. The apartment was extremely dirty with, grease, mold and dust. We didnt feel like we could use the kitchen at all due to the dirt. There was dust on every surface and quite alot of it. This actually made me quite poorly due to allergies. The bathroom also wasnt clean, there was mould and rust everywhere. There was a hole in one of the doors too. I did contact for help with a broken light and heating. An engineer was sent to repair the light and apparently the heating too but this still didnt work. Without the heating working the apartment was very cold. The walls are paper thin, we could hear conversations in other apartments and every movement they made from flushing the toilet, running a bath/shower, pulling out chairs and walking around.The only positive was the great location.All in all, we did not enjoy our stay at all. Contact with the hosts was difficult and they did not seem to want to help. The rating of 4 star definitely does not reflect the property.

  Good location but no frills and poor noise insulation

  We stayed 3 days at MH Gracia. For the pluses, I would cite the location. The surroundings are really nice and relatively quiet. With small streets that are inviting to walk around, lots of good restaurants and coffees. A lovely area. In the minuses, the walls are really thin and one hears the neighboring rooms very well. I had the feeling I was taking my shower next to my neighbor. The walls are not soundproof and if you get noisy neighbors as we had it can be pretty annoying. Also the cleanliness is questionable. When we arrived in the apartment, the first drawer I opened was still filled with (used?) underwear from some predecessors. Next surprise, there was a toothbrush in the shower. Hence the question: did the cleaning staff actually clean anything? The other minus was that there is absolutely no service. There is a self-checking machine and you are expected to empty the bins by “taking them to the street” (without indication where exactly”. I would expect some minimal service for an appart-hotel. Price is OK but I wouldn’t pay more.

  Great apartment with weak wifi

  Everything was fine, rent is a bit pricey, but the WiFi is unbelievably slow (<4MBit/s), borderline unusable at today's standards.Aparment was clean in a nice and lively neighborhood, amenities and restaurants close by.
