Location

The hotel is located in Seva, in El Montseny National Park. The peaks in the national park reach a height of 17,372 m above sea level, and it stretches from the La Calma plateau to the heights of El Matagalls and Les Agudes. This national park is considered equally as interesting from a scientific point of view as it is in terms of landscape. The hotel lies only 56 km from Barcelona and 15 km from Vic. Barcelona International Airport is around 70 km away.

Units include 240 rooms, including 13 junior suites, 4 suites, 27 apartments, 4 studios and 180 double rooms, located in a 6-storey main building and a 4-storey auxiliary building.     The Montanya Hotel proved to be the perfect hotel for a short stay for my young family and I, whilst we attended a wedding in the Catalan mountains.Whilst dated, the hotel is clean, tidy and has ample amenities to cater for most people. It is also set in a peaceful and somewhat idyllic location. Our ‘Suite familiar’ room was very spacious, with mountain view’s from the large balcony and a spa bath. A few hours after checking-in we had a knock on the door and were greeted with a complimentary bottle of cava and water, which was a very nice touch!We used both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools which our toddler and infant both enjoyed - whilst we didn’t try them, the spa facilities looked great.The food on offer was all to a good standard. We ate at the buffet for breakfast each morning and also tried food from the bar and buffet in the evening, each time we were not disappointed.The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, with the majority thankfully speaking sufficient English for us to get by - this hotel is not in a typical holiday/tourist location. A special mention to the young gentleman in the bar/restaurant who made the extra effort to make sure we were well looked after. The hotel was perfect for what we needed and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking to visit this particular area.     No good food no good service. The only hotel near the golf go it for a day and leave. Nothing to do with a 4 stars hôtel. Breakfast as a 2 stars hôtel no good food. And during the evening a lot of noise and not clean. We lefet asap.     Lovely setting however you are isolated and there is no restaurants around the area. We had dinner here twice which was nice, however the buffet breakfast was average. Room is large and clean but the beds are super hard and uncomfortable. Was expecting to use the spa each day but it was closed Sunday, Monday & Tuesday so we could only use on one occasion.
