Location

The hotel is situated close to the sea, next to the entrance to the Nova Mar Bella section of the beach. Its location in the Sant Martí district of the city means that Barcelona's congress centre, zoo and Diagonal Mar' shopping centre, which offers over 150 shops, are all within 5 min of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 4 junior suites and 187 double rooms, which are located on 12 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom.     My friends, my wife, and I enjoyed our 5 nights at the Occidental Atenea Mar immensely! The hotel is directly across the street from the beach with very nearby access to bus stops and train/subway stations giving us unlimited access to all that Barcelona has to offer. The pool deck and bar was especially comfortable allowing our group to lounge in the afternoon sun and enjoy a cocktail or two.You will not believe the size of the beds in your room - enormous, and very comfortable.The Occidental Atenea Mar is a great place from which to enjoy Barcelona.
