Location

This hotel is located directly in the cultural and historical heart of Barcelona, in Las Ramblas. There are copious shopping areas with boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants just a stone's throw away from the hotel lobby. The sea is about a kilometre away and public transport leaves from directly in front of the hotel building. It is just 500 metres to the nearest night club.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1842. The hotel has 6 single rooms and 136 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room.     I think that I was expecting a bit more from this hotel. The good things, great location and very good breakfast. Things that could be improved, we were put in the room directly above the entrance of the hotel on the first floor and also above the restaurant below us. After the first night had to go to reception to ask if the music could be quieter, told that it was independently owned but the music did seemed to be quieter as the days went on. If you are put in this room ask for one higher and towards the back, I am sure the locals are not given this room. There is no luggage rack in the room and had to ask for an iron and ironing board. Iron ing board was a miniature. Over all, small improvements could be made to make it an even better hotel than it is already. Chester Australia

    A lovely place to stay on La Rambla

    It’s a 3 star hotel that could be a four star. Very comfortable bed, reasonably large rooms. Spacious bathroom and shower: much appreciated!! Very neat and clean. A building with a lot of character, charm and history located on La Rambla, at walking distance from everything! And yet the rooms are very quiet. The staff were very nice and welcoming.On the minus side, I would have liked power sockets on both sides of the bed. Only one side had one socket. No toilet brush in the bathroom, that’s a tough one for me! Maybe a couple of more shelves in the wardrobe would have been appreciated. The breakfast was ok. I loved that there was salad! The breakfast buffet would be so much better though if everything came from local producers: bread, cheeses, meats, eggs, marmelades and jams, baked goods. The coffee comes from a coffee machine. I saw many people having a hard time with the machine. Would it be so hard/expensive to provide real freshly brewed coffee? The restaurant is very nice, lovely staff and a piano player comes some evenings ❤️That being said, what I really want the readers to take away from this is that Oriente Atiram Hotel is really nice, very comfy whether you come a young couple or elderly people.

    We had a great time. This property is lo ated kn the heart of ot all..near Plaza Catalunya , where you can access the transportation you need, near La Boqueria Market and other beautiful places..all Oriente staff were excellent..front desk staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Shout out to Mimah Niko, Vicky and we know we are missing a name...Comfortable clean room. All the staff at the great tasty breakfast set up, Thank you.. all around a great hotel. We will definitely stay here again.. highly recommended!!

    Nice Old Hotel in the Gothic Quarter

    A beautiful old hotel near the Gothic quarter in Barceloa. Easy walking distance to a lot of good attractions. Pleanty of restaurants and bars in the area. The staff are amazing!! Five stars for them. Warning; there is a lot of hallway noise and you can hear the other guests from your room. We could hear the guy next door snoring at 1:00. But, it is an old building so this is not a surprise.
