Location

The hostel is located on Numancia in Barcelona city centre, opposite the La Illa shopping centre and 1.2 km from the Barcelona Sants train station. The Camp Nou football stadium is 1.2 km from the hotel and the Barceloneta city beach is 20 minutes away using public transport.

Facility

The hostel has a lift and features 47 rooms. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hostel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hostel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. The grounds of the hostel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.     Wouldn’t Stay Here Again

    Our stay at Alberg Pere Tarrés was disappointing. The lockers in the room were old and noisy, making it hard to relax or sleep. We were a group of three but were only given one key for both the room and the lockers. Sharing a single key between three people was very inconvenient and awkward, especially when moving separately or when we needed access at the same time. It also caused unnecessary disruption for others in the room. On top of that, towels are not included and must be rented separately. One of the receptionists, a woman, was particularly unfriendly and showed no willingness to assist us. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome, and overall, the service did not meet our expectations.

    It was bad , shower door fell off and came right down and hit good friend in his head while he brush his teeth, also a man came in our room and started Hitting our ceiling fan. Also crazy woman came to our door and started speaking gibberish and was very aggressive towards myself and my colleagues.     Terrible experience! The hostel was dirty and poorly maintained, the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were far from clean. The staff were extremely rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. They made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. To make things worse, the breakfast was awful, low quality and barely edible. I do not recommend this place at all. Definitely one of the worst stays I’ve had.     I took a group of 30 students and 4 adults for a 3 night stay in Barcelona. From the moment of check in to check out we were safe comfortable and in such a convenient location. The rooms are spacious and the storage is handy. The breakfast had a good selection for fussy teens and we felt safe with the 24 hour security. I was almost put off by previous reviews but I think you have to have realistic expectations of a youth hostel. Thank you Alberg Pere Tarrés.
