    Fantastic place, please try it

Amazing place, a very friendly and nice clean place, you get your own 'capsule' with more privacy. Stayed for 3 nights. Restaurants and bars close by, walking, 30-45 minute walk to city center. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and serviceminded. Nice place to stay at for short or long time.

    Honestly crappy

    rating27 Feb 2020

Absolutely there will be worse experiences to find, but this hostel really needs some maintenance. We’ve stayed here shortly, but moved more into the Centre of the city of Barcelona. Okay it’s close to Gaudí parc, but very far away from the city Centre. It’s a 15 minute walk to the most close subway. The showers in the hostel where very bad. My boyfriend said that the showers for the men needed more handling than a dj does in a dj set. This just to ensure the water stays warm. It’s a tough walk to the hostel and and it’s a very narrow hostel there where the pictures showed more space. Most of the personal is okay. We had a shooters evening which was cancelled unfortunately. We wouldn’t recommend this hostel and for five euro a night more you got the best hostel in the city Centre of Barcelona. Besides this there’s a very feministic atmosphere over there. Men are insulted on toilets that they have short .... I, personally, could hardly sleep. Constantly banging with doors. Really loud noises at night from troubled people. The snoring noise of the addicted people was impossible to bare. Besides this there’s a core culture. There’s a group with illegal immigrants staying there, over exceeding there stay in Europe and if you rely on the stay at the hostel you will feel your in the prison. There was one guy from Germany if we are right and he had big struggles sleeping. This hostel totally ruined his journey trough Barcelona and almost didn’t see the city. He was happy to leave the hostel. In a few words; old, crappy, bad sleep, not the best atmosphere, troubled people and way to far from the Centre.

    Best hostel experience to date.

Definitely the best hostel out of the five I stayed in Barcelona and probably the best hostel experience I've ever had. Sweet, cozy, clean, quiet.Even the 16-bed room where I stayed was nicer, quieter and better to sleep in than most 6-bed dorms in 99% of hostels. Also the first time ever that I'm taking the time to write a review.Highly recommended.

    Exellent Hostel

    rating15 Jul 2019

Stayed here for four nights in a 6 bed dorm with a en-suite bathroom.I was maybe a couple of hours early for check-in, but the room was ready and they let me check in anyway, which was really cool because I wanted to go out straight away to visit some sites. The dorm room is shaped like a long rectangle, with all the bunk beds on one side with a gap of maybe a metre to walk. As is common with hostels, there were lockers underneath the bunch beds, which was spacious and I had no trouble getting my medium sized backpack in there, when with all the stuff unpacked. Each bunk bed had one electrical socket, but as my adapter also has a USB point, it was not a problem. The bunk bed came with fresh clean linen, a privacy curtain and a hard mattress. I actually like my mattresses firm, but I found even this was harder than I'm used to.I was a little disappoint with the en-suite bathroom. The shower sits on an elevated area, and takes up about half the platform. It doesn't have a door for closing and the water gets all over the platform. I was careful but someone could easily slip on the tiles. The bathroom also doesn't have a window and the fan is a bit weak, so unless someone kept the door open for the A/C in the room to cool the bathroom, it gets a bit hot. Don't get me wrong though, the bathroom including the sink and toilet were always clean, was cleaned every day and served it's purpose. Location-wise, the hostel is located a little off the main tourist circuit, although the metro line is only 5 minutes walk away. It's also located up a steep hill and the hostel do actually advice a route that has an escalator, otherwise it's a hard climb. So long as you use the escalator, you'll be fine though. The staff are friendly and really helpful with pretty much everything. The hostel do like to generate an enjoyable atmosphere for guests by having nights out and free dinners at 9pm. Something which I regretfully never got a chance to partake, this Spanish concept of eating late takes some getting used to. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with a small annoyance with respect to the bathroom, but it was the height of summer and it does get hot in Barcelona.
