    The hotel is in a decent location walking distance to plaza del Catalonia. However, the room was small for four people and somewhat dated for the price that was charged. The hotel front desk was extremely friendly and helpful and answered all our questions and had great recommendations for places to eat. Cafe Alfonso recommended by the front desk and only a few metres away was one of the best meals we've had in all of Spain.

    Severe Structural Noise Ruined Our Stay

    We had an extremely difficult three-night stay due to severe noise from the floor above. Every time someone moved upstairs, intense vibrations and loud thudding sounds echoed through the ceiling and across the entire room. At first, I thought the guests above were deliberately making noise, but it became clear that the sound followed their movements exactly, suggesting a structural issue with the building.From early morning until late at night, the constant vibrations made it very difficult to rest or sleep. I reported this to the staff, but was told that the cause was unknown and that no alternative room was available.Despite staying for three nights and this clearly being a facilities-related issue, the only response we received was that nothing could be done, without any apology or attempt to offer a solution. Considering the price and the hotel’s rating, this was extremely disappointing. We had hoped to spend a joyful Christmas in Barcelona with our family, but instead it felt like sleeping next to a railway. The way this issue was handled did not match the level of service one would expect from a hotel of this standard.

    Lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful location with easy access to Gothic district and Ramblas. Staff were helpful and breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was the mattress. It was very hard and uncomfortable. I felt the springs. It made it harder to fall asleep.

    For the money, (nearly 400 euro/night). this hotel disappointed. We expected a ‘wow’ and got a ‘meh’. The room was a decent size, yet lacked any drawers and had a giant unwanted minibar. The accent pillows had an unusual smell. The chairs in the room seemed old and worn. There was some damage and stains in various places. (See photos) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was very good as was the air conditioning.

    Elegant superb hospitality a credit to Barcelona

    Enric the manager come to our rescue when we booked a bad hotel and needed urgent accomodation he went out of his way to look after 2 70 year old ladies and our room was elegant very comfortable beds made our last stay in Barcelona perfect. All the staff at the hotel are a credit to good management.
