    The hotel is located on a pretty square accessed off one of main streets and is well situated for access to trams, buses and metro. The room we had was not somewhere you would like to spend a great deal of time as it is very basic but we were out all day so only there to shower and sleep. 2 single beds, 1 pillow each and a spare blanket was in wardrobe if you needed it. Towels changed daily. No view to speak of but window was double glazed. Air con was ok - we used it to heat the room. Walls are VERY thin so you can hear everything! Small tv on wall. No hairdryer or fridge but we knew that before we arrived. Breakfast is bread rolls, croissant, yoghurt and cornflakes - no hot food. One coffee machine. Orange juice and water available. There is a small lift but not to first floor. Staff really nice and friendly. The square has restaurants all round it so plenty of choice. Noisy but people just having fun. Only downside was a member of our party enjoys a morning walk - not a good idea before 7.30 as drug dealers offering drugs and ladies of the night offering their services - also large groups of men hanging around but disappear when it gets light - sounds negative but as long as you are careful and sensible we felt pretty safe. All in all it does what it says on the tin and decent for price

    I was here last weekend, The rooms are laid out like a 3rd class room on the titanic, One hotel guest who arrived at 2 am complained 5 TIMES because we were "to loud" and the next night were FILMING US FROM THEIR BALCONY, they were also physically aggressive to one of my friends. In addition there were bugs in the toilet and mouldy air vents. You're experience may be better but my experience (in room 201) was not great. 2 good things is that its liveable and the breakfast is ok.

    One night stay.Excellent location and decent value.Small, reasonably clean room with decent air conditioning and excellent view of the Plaza Reial.Friendly and efficient staff.Downsides were the lack of a safe and fridge in the room, very thin walls, dated decor, rickety lift.

    The hotel is old, worn down, and lacks hygiene – the bedspreads were filthy, and the elevator was out of service several times a day. Rooms facing Plaza Reial are extremely noisy, and breakfast is served in the same room as the bar, leaving the smell of alcohol in the air. In the evening and at night, the environment felt unsafe: bar staff stood outside insistently trying to pull passersby into the night guard with glasses came across as unpleasant and unsympathetic.

    I stayed here with my friend in a twin room last Sunday to Tuesday .The 1 star was worrying , but when we got there it was fine .Our room, very basic , not even a kettle and no toiletries, some sachets of shampoo were on the sink . Beds were basic but actually comfy and we slept very well as the room was very dark didn’t have a view, well only of a white wall .. shower was fine and did the job Room was fine for the two nights we were there .. we literally slept there after two days of walking around .Breakfast is basic , yogs, pastries and coffee, tea, juices Some rubbery cornflakes But filled a gap until we filled up later .. fine I would recommend this hotel as it’s right in the centre of the gothic quarter, there is a lively square right outside the hotel , with lots of eateries, and there was plenty of stuff going on there .. La Rambla is just 2 min walk through the square . also really central for the buses and metro stops, both of which are very easy to use … A family top up ticket is very good value, lots of options though . Transport is prompt and modern and clean … This hotel was great for what we needed If you want luxury , then this is not for you But if you are walking and exploring this fab city , then this is perfect .
