Facility

3 suites and 85 double rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe.     Roommate Carla Hotel - Excellent location, not much else.

    We arrived in Barcelona for a two day visit while waiting to embark on a cruise. On the positive side, we arrived to the hotel around noon and our rooms were available for occupancy.The location was excellent as we were downtown Barcelona and a leisurely :15 minute walk to Sagrada Familia, which I visited twice. (See my review on the guided tour).On the negative front, we all found the front desk staff somewhat curt and not particularly friendly.Also, the other couple booked our rooms and we were expecting balconies. What we got was an inner courtyard patio with a high wooden fence. Smoking was allowed on the patio so I was fine with it, but the rest of our group was very disappointed.The room was very small (our ship cabin was larger!) and a bit disappointing. Having said that, being from Canada, we sometimes have misconceptions about what to expect in European hotel room spaciousness.The brunch was not included and we passed on it, although it looked acceptable.Very high marks for location, but points lost for accommodations and staff friendliness.I would still recommend it if you can overlook the drawbacks cited.

    for the price of this hotel, expected to feel like my belongings would be taken care of through a lost and found of forgotten. we had to change rooms and forgot a valuable item. remembered in less than an hours, but by the time we told concierge, it was gone. This item was about 120€ and we did not lose it, it was clearly taken by house keeping. On top of that, the AC was little to nothing so we spent every night barely sleeping from the heat, (mind you it is cold march) and when we opened the windows we were swarmed with mosquitoes all night. the coffee for breakfast is also super overpriced. Would not stay here again

    Fabulous hotel, fabulous staff, brilliant location, amazing view

    Absolutely amazing. We came just for city break for 3 nights end of January. Staff at reception from first minute wer so nice, kind, professional, helpful, feel so welcome. Gentlemen ( he is absolutely Gentlemen) at reception asked if we first time maybe need some recommendations. So booked for us nice restaurant and it was really late. Room was so clean. ( definitely worth pay extra for balcony view is just amazing) . Bed was so comfortable. We booked breakfast and I think it as well worth. Cause everyone will find something by them taste. Location is just perfect. 15 min from Sagrada Familia. Restaurants ,shops, etc maximum 5- 10 min walk. From airport taxi cost around 35 euros. We had really late flight so at reception we were offered keep laguage in safe place. We definitely will go back at same hotel.

    We spent an extra day in Barcelona on the front end of a Viking cruise. We wanted to stay close to downtown so we could walk wherever we wanted. This hotel fit the bill. We arrived fairly early in the morning, after an overnight flight. We were way early for check-in, but the front desk kindly found a room that was available. We had booked a Junior Suite, which was quite sizeable, especially for a European hotel room. Our room had a nice balcony with a distant view of the Sagrada Familia. Add in a king-size bed and we were very happy with the accommodations. The included buffet breakfast was nothing to write home about. But we didn’t go hungry. We were able to walk everywhere, and the metro station was only a couple blocks away. We actually stayed at this hotel again on the back end of our trip. Recommended
