  Lovely Hotel

  We absolutely loved the hotel . The location was perfect, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Every detail made us feel relaxed and welcomed. The atmosphere of the hotel was elegant yet cozy, and it made our trip even more special. We would definitely love to stay there again on our next visit to Barcelona.

  We had a fantastic stay at Room Mate Pau in Barcelona. The hotel is stylish, clean, comfortable, and wonderfully located — ideal for exploring the city and enjoying everything Barcelona has to offer.What made our stay truly memorable was the exceptional service, especially from Sergei at reception. Sergei was warm, professional, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. He gave us excellent assistance and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.What impressed us even more was seeing how attentive and kind he was with other guests as well. He handled every interaction with calm efficiency and sincere hospitality. That kind of service is rare and deserves special recognition.Room Mate Pau is already a great hotel, but Sergei helped make our experience outstanding.   Excellent hotel in an excellent location

  We stayed for four nights in the Suite (pictured on the website with the 'Swiss cheese' wall, room 703) which had a terrace with jacuzzi. Beautiful weather meant we used that in the sunshine several times during our stay. The bed was huge and comfy, the room was spotless, with a huge two-person waterfall shower and a separate WC with jacuzzi-bath and bidet. There is a desk area behind the headboard with USB charging points and power sockets. The only slight issue we had was climbing out onto the balcony from the room, the doorway is quite high off the ground (35cm or so?) and it could have done with a small step to help stepping out and back in.Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet including eggs, sausages etc as well as pastries, fruits, breads etc, and didn't close until noon so no need to get up at the crack of dawn on your holiday! A big bonus for us!The hotel is located about 2 minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya, which is extremely convenient for all transport links - the A1 and A2 Aerobus lines from the airport both terminate here, along with other bus routes and metro station. It's also at the top of La Rambla and on the edge of the Gothic region, so perfect for exploring.We would both like to say a special thank you to Sergiu at the front desk who was incredibly helpful with dinner recommendations and just generally really friendly and welcoming.   Great room and location, love the separate shower, shame there’s no chair, good bed and cleaning

  Room is great and location is brilliant - highly recommended on these points.I booked through booking.com, but it was booked then through someone else who made separate bookings for each of the 4 nights, this was sorted thankfully and combined. We booked an executive room, we were in room 308 which had a view of the street to the front (opening window and julienne balcony), other than the unit at the foot of the bed there was no separate desk and no chair which I thought from the photos and description there would be. If you wanted to work at all in the room then it would not be great. I found my back aching a bit with no chair to sit in.The toilet is separate, as is the shower, they have their own doors off the bedroom. The basin then is a unit opposite these. This worked really well for us and I think is a great design.The heating / cooling was great.   Excellent service all around we arrived early and they gave us a room right away. They have a great breakfast also serve all different coffees at n/c from 12 to 6 PM
