Well worth a stay if you're on a budget

    rating03 Dec 2025

From the moment I arrived until I left, the reception staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English fluently. Wi-Fi was free to all guests and worked throughout my stay. Even though the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable and people came in and out of the room throughout the night, I was able to achieve decent sleep. At the head of the bed, there was a shelf to charge my phone and store some temporary belongings. The lockers were spacious and could open and close with a tap of my room card. The facilities were top-notch. I did lose my room card and had to pay €10 for a replacement, but I was promptly refunded when the original was discovered. The kitchen was available, but I never used it. I didn’t think I’d be in a dormitory with both male and female guests, but it wasn't a problem. There were computers with internet access that were available to use for free. My room had a small balcony with a view of the busy and sometimes noisy Gracia streets, with bars, bakery and restaurants only a stone throw away. I’d recommend staying if you’re on a budget. I had to pay extra for a towel.

We had a great time! Everything was clean, the staff were very friendly and the family dinners were super tasty ( big compliments to lucia🥰) and not too expensive. Just one little thing: I asked if one of the staff could throw two postcards into a mailbox since i couldn't find one and didn't have any time to do it myself before leaving and flying back home. I think they might have forgotten about them which isn't a big deal at all just a bit sad🥲.

i came to this hostel with my other friend, we are two 18 year old girls and we had the best time ever!!! there was nothing dodgy about the hostel, i honestly have no complaints. the other girls in our dorm were super sweet and didn't make noise as we were sleeping. very nice atmosphere, there were loads of events organised by the hostel which would make making friends for solo travellers super easy. the showers also had good water pressure which is what i was worried about haha. all in all, great hostel and lovely experience!!! Saint Jordi Is locates in Gracia, a wonderful quarter of Barcelona. It Is a perfect location, well linked to main attraction places and with lot of movida. Hostel Is nice I Met wonderful persons there, in the receptionists and in the travellers. During the day you can choose to join a dinner/lunch, adding your name in a list and same thing you can do if in the night you want join a group for party. Hostel has indeed animators and these people involve you in activities around the city. It was a food choice to decide to stay here Silvia Pancaldi, Director General at Sant Jordi Hostels Gracia, responded to this review Hi there! Thanks for your awesome review! Nice cheap hostel, worth the price

The showers was not cleaned when we arrived but all other days they where nice and clean. Could be good to bring some flip flops.Nice refridgerator. I didn’t use the kitchen to cook. They just had a sponge to clean your dishes with which was kind of groose, I would have wanted a regular dishbrush. The walls is thin so you hear your neighbours much, earplugs was a must for me. This was the most negative about the hostel for me. But The staff helped to say to other guests if they where to loud. Nice and comfortable beds. Nice with big lockers/storage in your room.Really kind and helpful staff. Nice rooftoop to sit and eat your breakfast. It is a local tax you have to pay when you check im, 20 euros for me and my friend for 4 nights.Good location. Close to several supermarkets, restaurants, bars, metro and bus stops and we also walked from the hostel to some sightseeing things to save some money. Easy to get to the airport. Silvia Pancaldi, Director General at Sant Jordi Hostels Gracia, responded to this review Thank you for your comment! We are delighted to hear that you liked the location and found the staff very friendly. It's great to know that you found the beds comfortable for your rest.We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Regards, the SJH team
