  Feels Like a 4-Star — Highly Recommended!

  We were truly impressed with Serhs Carlit Hotel during our stay. The hospitality was excellent — everyone was friendly and attentive. Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and gave us a peaceful place to relax. The overall environment is cosy, modern, and very well-maintained. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety each morning. The location is ideal: just a short walk from the Sagrada Família, but on a quiet and calm street. For a 3-star hotel, it genuinely outshines many 4-star options in Barcelona. Wonderful experience and great price. Highly recommended!

  Unhygienic, rude, and completely irresponsible – worst hotel experience of my life.

  Our stay at Serhs Carlit Boutique Hotel was a disaster from start to finish. We’ve never experienced such awful hygiene, hostile staff, and a total refusal to take responsibility.Within 24 hours, we found three stains — including BLOOD — on two different beds in two separate rooms.The first time, the receptionist Kevin Medina simply handed us clean sheets and told us to change them ourselves.We switched rooms, only to find more BLOOD-STAINED bedding in the second one.The next day, we discovered yet another BLOOD STAIN, this time inside the duvet cover.This wasn’t just poor cleaning — it was a serious hygiene failure that made us question whether any of the bedding had been cleaned at all.And it got worse. When we calmly asked for the stained duvet to be replaced, the front desk staff became defensive and threatened to kick us out without a refund, claiming the decision came from her supervisor, Joan Farrell.Yes — we were threatened, simply for asking for basic hygiene and a respectful response.This isn’t customer service. It’s bullying.And it didn’t stop there. On our last morning, the orange juice machine dispensed juice with two dead FLIES floating inside.When we told the staff, her first reaction was: “That’s normal, the machine is fine.”No apology. No concern. Just brushing it off like it was nothing. Absolutely disgusting.In the end, Expedia stepped in and offered compensation, but the hotel itself remained defensive, unapologetic, and downright rude until the very end.I honestly don’t know how a hotel like this is still in operation.It’s a disgrace to Barcelona’s hospitality industry.If you care at all about basic cleanliness or being treated with respect — stay far, far away from this place.It’s filthy, aggressive, and completely unprofessional.The only staff member who was respectful and helpful was Gerardo Aceuedo.The others — especially the supervisor — were terrible.We genuinely don’t understand how some of them ended up working in hospitality.

  I booked a flexible stay for my father via Booking.com, with the clear option to adjust dates. When we decided to shift the booking by just one night (same weekend, same number of nights), I saw online that the hotel still had availability. I even told them my father could change rooms if necessary.Despite this, the hotel staff was extremely unhelpful and evasive. Every time I contacted them, they insisted they had to check with the supervisor. When I asked to speak directly to the supervisor—who I knew by name because another employee had mentioned it—I was always told she was “not available,” even though they had earlier confirmed she was present that day. I asked for a call back, which never came.I eventually went to the hotel in person to resolve the issue, but the supervisor again refused to speak with me. Each time, they offered a different excuse (no availability, even though there clearly was; no date flexibility, despite my booking including that option). It felt like they were making it deliberately difficult.For a place that brands itself as a “boutique hotel,” the service was shockingly unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.   great hotel!

  i enjoyed my stay here, rooms were a great size, shower was very good and amazing location. metro stop very close and only 10 min walk to sagrada família. breakfast was also decent, hot food a little cold but a variety of choices and all staff were lovely. my room overlooked what i would describe as a vertical courtyard, looking into other rooms. this was not a problem for me as i still had daylight and i was only there to sleep, but a member of my party wanted more of a view so asked to move, and the staff were very kind and helpful at moving rooms to one which had more daylight and a view. so if you want more of a view i think you should request it, again this was not a problem for me but may be for others. overall great hotel and would recommend!   Excelent everything: Central but quiet, accessible even by bus (1 min walk), beautiful building and interior design, big rooms with balcony, big bathrooms, big and comfy beds, exceptional staff…congrats!Excellent breakfast!
